Yeah, that puffed-up gnosis is a cruel master. I'll be down here at the low-context foundation of love abounding in epignosis as your soar by in that hot air balloon of high-context gnosis.
All that reduces to, sans the canned phrases you neither support nor illustrate in particular, is that you find yourself enlightened without enlightening anyone else on why they should. :)

(In Christmas commercial voice... "They're everywhere. They're everywhere.")
So a bit like reality television programming then. :plain:

For the rest of you, here's a little high context to blow your mind: if you think you shouldn't do a thing and find yourself doing it you might consider cutting it out.

TH,

I realize I haven't been able to post much, but correct me if I'm wrong.

You are neither calling for the Redskins to change their name, nor are you saying that creating a new n-word will benefit the Indians?

I think that Washington should change their name. I believe it because the owner has publicly stated that he means no offense. I don't believe, however, in mandating it as a matter of law, which isn't what the patent bit did. The second part isn't something I've advanced one way or the other. Benefit is one of those words that can be a bit like beauty.

I think it would be beneficial if the word was dropped from popular usage. But I'd say the same thing I did about the name change, it isn't something you can really legislate or that I'd attempt to.

You remind me of the lawyer in Seinfeld who had all the right words in all the wrong places. :)

In case you haven't noticed yet... I don't care what you think. You're part of the problem, not the solution. You've been compromised, and you're an "asset". You haven't a clue what is going on.

Yeah, so how many times does this make anyway? :)

You're a deceased parrot. Your arguments are no more. They have ceased to be.

Sorry, I was waiting on the beep. :plain:

I haven't argued.
You're lips to God's ears.

Two of those and all you need is a coyote.

Irony:
(Now you may continue unabated with your vomitous diatribe of self-important superimposition of nothingness upon all subject matter.)
Move over Merriam-Webster :poly:

See? There it went again. Does it all the time.

There may be a gremlin in the machinery around here...or a drunken monkey...something. It's eerie. :noid:

Seriously, is this happening to anyone else or is it a server problem?

As for Washington, I wonder how long it will be before Dan either backs his words and alters his actions or alters his words and backs his actions?

My logos thinking and speaking God's Rhema instead of being hijacked by conceptual language patterns.

Okay. Beep, Beep. Bring on Wile E. and exit stage left.:salute:

Beware of those non conceptual language patterns. Who knows what they're up to?

That's a great cartoon. :)

I had you pegged for a guy who liked to write in the margins all along.

Sounds like a personal problem.
Personality problem, likely. Happens in a lot of threads around here. Peculiar. Like canned ham.

Probably neither in those false contexts, since even he doesn't like implementation of perverted forms of antichrist socialism via false dialectic.

It's pathetic when a non-believing carnalite "gets it" on some level and professing Christians don't.

You could mount a "Christian" campaign to coach everyone to be offended, and all "in the name of Jesus". The world needs more self-righteousness.

That's a mouth full. Full of what, now that's the real question.

Carnalites...small hands. And you can never win the ring toss. Not that you aren't trying (either).

Nah, do that and before you know it people would be turning cheeks and handing out cloaks and then where would we be? Maybe Iowa.

The world needs more self-righteousness.
Well, God knows you're doing your part and that's more than anyone should ask...seriously.

Well, I don't actually have him on my ignore list but I am ignoring him, for the obvious reasons. Essentially he's repeating the same trite post over and over again which is bizarre as he should know he ain't gonna get a response. Go figure...

That was all worth a truly good laugh. I actually like your sense of humor. It's your misdirected self-assured passive complicity in all the modern culture-sculpting that's disturbing.

It's no joke to be so educated and naive as you are. But I'll just enjoy the quips. Even those at my expense, because I often assist with self-depricating humor to accompany such. A man really needs to be able to laugh at himself, even if it's in unison with the deluded who are genuinely funny at times.

You're not bad yourself when you put your elbows into it.

It's your misdirected self-assured passive complicity in all the modern culture-sculpting that's disturbing.
Then you veer straight into buy a vowel territory. Or, let me guess who gets to decide what's misdirected, etc. :) It's especially curious given the bedrock for my current position is the sort of stuff that usually gets me the "bronze age sheep herder philosophy" label from another camp.

So that's a strange sort of modernism.

It's no joke to be so educated and naive as you are.
There are old lawyers and there are bold lawyers, but there are no naive lawyers...something like that.

But I'll just enjoy the quips. Even those at my expense, because I often assist with self-depricating humor to accompany such. A man really needs to be able to laugh at himself,
Unlike women who mostly need to laugh at men. But up to there you weren't doing half bad...I appreciate humor would have been enough. I'd have given you credit for understanding the aim. It's part of the whole kings don't have to tell you, the crown gives it away sort of thing.

But then you trip a bit (either):
even if it's in unison with the deluded who are genuinely funny at times.
Trapped in your own navel. It tends to happen around here. Maybe you should give it up for Lent. :plain: ;)

All of this merriment does a heart good if one isn't easily offended, and I'm not. I love this exchange of quippery, and it's pleasantly unexpected from someone so seemingly stoic.

I just wish, in the end, that you had two hours to spare and a teachable spirit about one thing. The innate influence of high-context language (English, in this case) on the heart and mind. It would be the biggest change in your life apart from regeneration of salvation itself.

It's all about God's Rhema, and English is subtly sculpting man's logos to excise and replace it. Be not ignorant of Satan's devices. And this is the foundational of those.

Thanks for the grins and giggles. An arid sense of humor with sarcasm and intellect is a treasure.
