RSF: Darwin's Racists Author on BEL

This is the show from Thursday July 29th, 2010.

BEST QUOTES OF THE SHOW:
Darwin in his own writings identified people who were of dark skin, particularly blacks, that they are inferior, they are subhuman and possibly not even a human species at all.
There's a new movie coming out called Alleged about the Skopes monkey trial in Tennessee. They show the book that the creationists wanted to ban. It showed blacks at the bottom right above apes. It was utterly racist. And the Christians were saying this was wrong, God made us. And it was the liberals, the ACLU, the evolutionists that mocked the Christians. This movie is going to be great. It's AllegedTheMovie.com.

It's fascinating how creationists treat Darwin and his books.

It's as though, unable to shake their worldview for a split second, creationists assume Origins is the only thing Darwin wrote, that evolutionists consider it infallible, and that evolutionary theory hasn't changed since the early 19th century.

And it's as though they believe evolutionists regard Darwin himself as infallible, as almost an apostle, of sorts, and that no evolutionist has ever taken Darwin to task or added to his work.

Bizarre, amusing, and fascinating.

By the way, the evangelical support for eugenics during the same period as the Scopes trial is shameful, brazen, and embarrassing. What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

Evangelical support for eugenics during the same period as the Scopes trial doesn't surprise me a bit. It fits perfectly with my slogan/motto: "Most Christians worship the false god of Public Acceptance."

That is because the theory is proven to be absoulutely wrong. And as a result, the theory was modified to a place where it can't be proven or disproven. It went from a ladder to a tree. That way you can say how two different complex organisms are similar to a simple organism and say that both complex organisms came from the same simple one.

Science changes it's views and amends it's theories based on what's observed, that's how it works.

Really? Proven wrong? Please supply a reference to the literature and the name of the Nobel winner for that "proof".

Mmm. So early 19th century racism strikes you as appalling and 20th century barbarism in the name of Jesus is just par for the course.

Uh-huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh.

Well

Well

Lewis and Clark ate dogs.

They couldn't have been kosher then.
I'm a bit of a finicky eater and the thought of eating dog meat makes me naseous. However hunger and deprivation can change one's thoughts.

They would buy them from the Indians and the dogs would just follow along so they didn't have to carry their food.
Does this distasteful practice of theirs mean that the west isn't there?

Lewis and Clark ate dogs.

In WW2, american anti japanese propaganda said they are bad people because they eat raw fish.

they may have said the same abut americans because they eat rotten milk

i have a japanese friend who's most embarassing time in the USA was when she was invited to thanksgiving dinner and when the turkey was put on the table she was so sickened and repulsed by the barbarity of it that
she threw up and went home.

Hmm. It's as though Darwinists often find themselves embarassed by the lack of scientific support for their religion and by the horrible implications such as racism and eugenics.

I don't think disciples of Christ ever supported eugenics, but you'd like to insinuate this as yet another excuse to deny God.

We are a bit disturbed by the strange flights of fantasy to which some theists are given.

There are no Darwinists, there is no Darwinism.

The ToE is not a religion. It is tho very widely and deeply supported by science, theocreo ignorance doesnt change that.

All Europeans and Americans should be embarrassed by their racist past.

If you want horrible implications look no further than your "bible".

Any 'insinuating' going on here is to try to connect science to racism.

As for your bit about "deny" god, you deny thousands of them, do you not? is your bible just an excuse to do that.

As for your "disciples of christ' and eugenics, go ahead and play the no true scotsman game.
