ECT Questions for Roman Catholics

It's not instead. It's in addition to.

Did you ever ask anyone to pray for you?

Of course, BUT, do I pray "TO" anyone other than the one and only Almighty God? NO!!! Not to some Catholic man made so-called saint.

How about you? The link I previously posted clearly shows you do and the prayer also gives praise and attributes only God is worthy of.

A True Christian depends on and only needs ONE and that one is only our Creator God to which all glory, honor and worship is to be given. Hallowed be THY NAME!

So now I suppose will come the usual catholic pre-programed robotic replies.

Will you repeat the following prayers? (They are after all only from the bible alone!)

Like the Bible says pray, "Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will!" Psalm 103:20–21.

In the opening verses of Psalms 148 pray, "Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his host!"*

Congratulations if you have prayed sincerely, just like the Bible teaches us to do, and like a good Catholic would do, you have answered your own erroneous questions by praying to His 'mighty ones' who are His angels in heaven and not prayed directly to God!*

In*Rev. 5:8 the Saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the Saints on earth. Unless you erroneously believe that Saints who are in heaven have some extraordinary unbelievable reason to pray for themselves while they are actually in heaven with God?

God Bless!

Praying "TO" saints, angels or the heavenly hosts is not blessing God, it is as robing God of His glory.

In fact it is against Scripture, Rev.22:8-9

Praying "TO" saints is nothing but a form of idolatry.

Does the Roman religion (RCC) venerate and worship dead saints (idols)?

"Skeletons pulled out of the ground and raised to the heights of glory" (venerated) What the Catholics call "Holy Bodies"

www.smithsonianmag.com/history/meet...catholicisms-forgotten-martyrs-284882/?no-ist

Mt.23:27 and 29
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like into whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones and of all uncleanliness. - vs.29, Woe unto you, scribe and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous."

Not only macabre but a terrible waste of money on dead men's bones.

So according to you instead of praising God the Psalmists were robbing God of His glory in Psalms 103:20-21,Psalms 148.

In fact it is against Scripture, Rev.22:8-9.
'It' is against scripture?

For the record... Please explain precisely what you mean by 'it'? You wouldn't want anybody misquoting you or to be misunderstood in what you are accusing God's Church of doing 'it' against scripture.

(We don't want the old man weasling his way out either by claiming that he did not say that John by talking to an Angel in Rev 22:8-9 is against scripture)

Praying "TO" saints is nothing but a form of idolatry.
How exactly are the Psalmists in Psalms 103:20-21,Psalms 148, John in Revelation Rev 22:8-9, Zechariah in Luke 1:18-19, Mary in Luke 1:30,34,38, Lot in Genesis 19:15,18-21 and Jesus in Matthew 17:1-4, talking (praying) to Saints and Angels, a form of idolatry?

Btw you completely forgot to answer this...

Mysterion - Does your church publish an official catechism?

Much as the Orthodox would lament the over-dogmatization and scholasticism and yes, heretical errors of the Latins (Papal Supremacy, rather than Papal Primacy, for instance), the listing of sentences taken from their published catechism as a list of charges in a legal proceeding seems a heartless enterprise on your part, however well justified it may be in your mind...

Did you have a reason to do so?

So tell me, O Ancient One...
Venerable and Terrible in Visage to Behold!

Exactly Who do YOU think GLORIFIES the Saints?

Exactly Who do YOU think it is...
Who is UNITED with the saints??
Who IS the Glory of the Saints??

To venerate a Saint, a Holy One of God
Does indeed glorify
The God Who Glorified the Saint...

Romans 8:30

Why do Catholics pray to... Saints...
instead of directly to the Father
in the name of Christ?

To pray is to ask for...
We seek their supplication in our behalf...
We pray for one another always...
You think Saints die when they pass from this life...
If to live is Christ, to die is gain, remember?
The ONLY way to ask a departed Saint to pray for you...
Is to ask him or her to do so...
We are surrounded by a Great Cloud of Witnesses...

They are all living, my Brother...

They pray for us all the time...

They are praying for you...

"that John by talking to an Angel in Rev.22:8-9 is against scripture"

The talking as you say has nothing to do with it, (and BTW, I don't read where John said anything in those verses) it is "...I fell down to worship before the feet... and the angle said "See thou do it not..."

Do Cath's bow before their idols of their saints when they pray to them such as to Mary? There are plenty of pic's that show so, even pic's of your Pope doing so.

So please do not twist what I say when trying to prove your points of refute.:nono:
