Jesus never spoke to a dog Gentile. He spoke ONLY to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, the ONLY ones for whom He'd come as Messiah. Why do you call Him a liar?

Jesus called the people dogs because like dogs they don't know their father. The Gentiles didn't know God as their Father because they wouldn't come into the covenant and obey Him.

There were Jews who did not have faith in God yet they observed the old law with it's ceremonial works. Those Jews were cut off and hardened so that when Jesus came and preached the gospel they couldn't believe and be saved. Jesus came for those who already belonged to God, they were God's and God gave them to Jesus. They had to go through Jesus to remain God's.

Those cut off Jews were bound to the same place as the disobedient Gentiles, so God could have mercy on all. Jesus said when he is lifted up from the earth he would draw all.

Stop saying the old law did not save. The old law is how the Jews could be called a child of God.

Paul, stop saying the old law did not save. There I told him for you. :chuckle:

Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: ......

Galatians 2:21 ..... for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Galatians 3:21 ...... for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

Paul, stop saying the old law did not save. There I told him for you. :chuckle:
You don't understand Paul and you make him say things he does not say. Peter and James have heard of your type of misunderstandings of Paul. 2 Peter 3:16, 17; James 2:14, 17, 19,20, 22, 24.

Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: ......

That scripture proves that people used to be justified that way.
That scripture is about NO MORE purification works of the law since Jesus came and died for us.

Galatians 2:21 ..... for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Paul is explaining that there is a new way not by the old law, because the law was not based on faith, it does not mean that no Jew ever had faith, it means the law did not require faith. A Jew could sin, give sin offerings and do all the purification works but NOT REALLY BE SORRY FOR their sins.

The new law that requires faith means Jesus chooses you based on your heart and not by the ceremonial works.

He is not saying there was no one righteous before Jesus. He is saying there is a better way in which we are made perfect and righteous, and Jesus did not die for nothing.

Galatians 3:21 ...... for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

The old law did not reconcile us to God, but it was the way commanded by God to be near God and you cannot get around that. That scripture is about a righteousness by the purification works done by the hands of men compared to the righteousness we receive from Jesus.

There were righteous people before Jesus because the BIBLE SAYS SO. So you must know right there you are proved wrong and have to keep studying to find out why you don't have understanding.

You must change your wrong beliefs when you say something that contradicts other scriptures.

There are many scriptures which talk about people being righteous. Do you want me to give you many scriptures?

Is this a lie:

Luke 2:25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem calledSimeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him.

Not listed with the who:

Psalm 69:28 May they be blotted out of the book of life and not be listed with the righteous.

So is this a lie:

Genesis 7:1 The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.

How about these men of the Bible:

Ezekiel 14:14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God.

Glorydazed would rather the whole Old Testament and the scriptures where Jesus walked the earth be declared error, before she would admit she doesn't understand Paul.

Not true.

As with Israel's other prophets; Jesus, (Who was their greatest Prophet because He is the Son of God Himself) is every so often depicted dealing with and blessing, a Gentile.

Why would He do that if He had "not" been "sent but unto the lost sheep of the House of Israel"?

Because as with their prior prophets; who are also observed blessing a Gentile here and there who acknowledges that the Creator of all things is the God of Israel, Christ had also represented unto Israel what they as God's Agency Nation over all the nations of the Earth, was to have been to those Nations - a nation through whom God's far more than abundant blessing was to have overflown to the Gentiles.

The result being that even with their fall and temporary setting aside, the salvation of God that God then sent out among the Gentiles had been not only through Israel's fall, but an aspect of which was meant to overflow from the Gentiles back unto that nation (Israel).

Again, He did deal with and bless Gentiles as God's chief Israelite, if you will.

A focus on those few incidents where He is mentioned dealing with and blessing Gentiles, often misses the bigger picture to begin with...

That during His short glorious, wonderous, often moving ministry among and to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, He had actually represented who Israel was to have been among, and to the nations.

Romans 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 15:2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. 15:7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: 15:9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. 15:10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. 15:11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. 15:12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

Nevertheless, Rom. 14:5; in memory of Rom. 5:6-8.

:chuckle:

The old law dd not reconcile us to God as in put us in Him and He in us.

The old law kept God's Spirit in the temple.

The old law made people His children.

The old law kept God speaking to His children.

The old law kept Abraham and the other righteous out of PRISON/HELL.

So you are not one of His sheep, or you got lost.

Joh 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
