Paul's gospel was a mystery!

There's only ONE true Gospel. I don't know what gospel you think you're following?

Jesus and Paul's gospel of the kingdom.

Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Has the end come?

Acts 28:30-31 Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him.

The very last words in the book of Acts are about Paul preaching the gospel of the kingdom. And teaching the things concerning Jesus, who is the way into that kingdom.

Thers only one Gospel, and Paul preached it, any other is a false gospel Gal 1:8-9

I suspect sister heir will concur, but in a way different than an Acts 28er would think.

And I suspect Ac28, who knows his 28 Position like few within the 28er camp, will see that your views in these areas are ALMOST 28er views :chuckle:

Close but no cigar, as we evaluate dualities and incongruences in light of Eph 2A and Gen 24:64, we can see that the lighted camel is inferior to NHNE event policies and procedures, holding forth the gospel event and putting behind us the red dirt types of yesteryear, we should long to codify and uphold spiritual fruit rather than backsliding into the "best to you and yours" of the past.

I'm sure you think you know what you are saying when you do that rather so-so imitation of IP :chuckle:

Ten to one those aspects of your views that are ALMOST 28er were influenced by reading Welch or by someone influenced by his writings.

Yours being one more so-so imitation, thus off-based conclusions of yours like your conclusion that Rom. 2:17 is talking about the saints Paul wrote Romans too...

I swear, bro, I read some of yours and heir's ALMOST 28er posts and I always get the same impression..

Those scenes between Andy and Opie always come to mind...

Where; as sharp as Andy appears to be only in contrast to the simpleminded individuals that whole town appears to be populated by - he is often left proven having been in the dark on something by his little boy.

Only in his case, and to his credit, he always comes around to meeting his failing in that head on.

He neither runs from it, nor is insolent and or anathematizing of another for having attempted to point out his failing.

Well, now you have a 28er who more than well knows both his 28 and his Welch to point out to you what I have tried to point out to you all along...that some of your views are closer to his than they are to Mad...

Love, Opie :chuckle:

I don't know what you mean by the likes of us. Who is us? And why are we not Gentiles?
Gentiles like that of the Ephesians to whom Paul wrote the letter

Ephesians 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

The mystery you quote from Romans is found in the Scriptures of the prophets - Rom 16:26. It is a part of the Mystery of Christ - Rom 16:25. The Mystery in Colossians 1:26 was hid from every age and every generation and was, therefore, not found in the scriptures of the prophets. In essence, It is the final revealing of the Mystery of Christ. The Mystery in Ro 16 is totally different than the new Mystery found in Paul's last 7 epistles
One is the mystery of Christ and the other the mystery of the gospel. They are not the same mystery. The mystery of Christ/ that “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures" was a mystery, but "according to the scriptures". It's called the hidden wisdom of God in a mystery which God ordained before the world unto "our" glory (a further study of the "our" would be those to whom Paul preached 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV to during Acts (Acts 13:16 KJV, Acts 13:26 KJV, Acts 26:17 KJV). See that it was a mystery here and why God kept it secret here (Romans 16:25-27 KJV, 1 Corinthians 2:6-8 KJV).

“The mystery of the gospel” is a later revealed mystery that included the likes of us, like the Ephesians to whom Paul wrote the letter, who in time past were without hope and without God in the world (Ephesians 2:11-12 KJV) but now were made fellowheirs and of the same Body and partakers of God’s promise in Christ by the gospel with Paul, the Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, Thessalonians…(Ephesians 3:6 KJV). This mystery was testified at a later due time (2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV, Acts 20:24 KJV, Ephesians 2:13-18 KJV, 1 Timothy 2:4-6 KJV, Titus 2:11 KJV)!

Together all of those saved from the beginning of Paul's ministry, the "we" and the "ye" (Ephesians 1:12-13 KJV) make up the one new man! They are all in the same one Body that we are as fellowheirs with them (Ephesians 3:6 KJV, 1 Corinthians 12:13 KJV)! It is the fellowship of the mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God,...:

Notice: "hid in God" not a mystery “according to the scriptures”.

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Ephesians 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Ephesians 3:11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Paul used the word "gentiles" to refer to people not native to Israel.

Gentiles are no different today than they were in Paul's day.

Paul the word "gentiles" to refer to people not native to Israel.

Gentiles are no different today than they were in Paul's day.

On the contrary. Certain Gentiles were called Greeks in a King James Bible and they were allied with Israel/in the covenants of promise as per Genesis 12:3 KJV (Galatians 3:29 KJV). We see them here as "them that fear God" (Acts 13:26 KJV). They were found in the synagogue of the Jews throughout Paul's first sending to the Jew first and also to the Greek (Acts 13:16, Acts 13:26, Acts 14:1, Acts 17:1-4, Romans 1:16, 1 Corinthians 1:24). They had a hope!

That cannot be said of these Ephesians to whom Paul wrote the letter who were worshiping a "goddess Diana" as late as Acts 19! Look at what Paul writes about these "you Gentiles" to whom Paul was mad a prisoner of Jesus Christ for:

Ephesians 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

You won't find explanations like this in the bible. It's nothing but mad spin.

In other words, Paul was addressing people who were formerly pagans. That is all. No more no less.

Paul's gospel was a mystery. Why don't you believe his report?

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

Romans 16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

Romans 16:27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

You ain't kidding Heir! A mystery bordering on Greek Mythology.
