Melchizedek is The Holy Spirit

Heb 7.3 informs the reader that the Priest, Melchizedek, who is infinite and uncreated, was ‘made in the likeness’ of The Son of God, Jesus.

Likewise, Heb 7.15 declares that another Priest, Jesus, will arise according to ‘the likeness’ of Melchisedek.

Thus, if each Priest is in the likeness of the other, then each is infinite and uncreated.

Further, Just as Heb 7.15 - 16 declares that Jesus is according to the likeness of Melchizedek, and according to the ‘Power‘ of an indissoluble life; we then have Luke 1.35 informing the reader that this ‘Power’ is of the Holy Spirit!

Thus, we are told that The Holy Spirit assumed human form, just like The Son did!

The incarnation was a Triune event.
Luke 1:35 teaches that God the Father was the father of Jesus, who thus was born the Son of God. God the Father accomplished this conception by means of the power of the Holy Spirit, see also Matthew 1:20-21. Mary was His mother in the conception birth process. Your logic seems terribly jumbled.

Kind regards
Trevor

The incarnation was a Triune event.
In what way?
And the angel answered and said to her, “ The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. - Luke 1:35 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke1:35&version=NKJV

But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” - Matthew 1:20-23 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew1:20-23&version=NKJV

Your quotation of Luke 1.35 just proved that Jesus' incarnation was a Triune event, as thus:

Most High = First Person of The Trinity
Son = Second Person of The Trinity
Holy Spirit = Third Person of The Trinity

Simple.

Greetings again Apple7,

Especially if you ignore what Luke 1:35 is actually saying. Luke 1:35 teaches concerning God the Father being the father of Jesus and Mary his mother, the conception by God the Father’s power, the power of the Holy Spirit and the child born, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. No Trinity here except in your imagination.

And btw Melchizedek was a real person mentioned in Genesis, and Jesus is a King / Priest after the order of Melchizedek Psalm 110:4.

Kind regards
Trevor

Again...you just presented the Three Persons of the Trinity....Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

What can you do now, Trev...?

Indeed, Melchizedek (The Holy Spirit) is a real Person.

Heb 7.3 informs the reader that the Priest, Melchizedek, who is infinite and uncreated, was ‘made in the likeness’ of The Son of God, Jesus.

There is no mention of the Trinity but a clear indication of the relationship between God the Father, and the work of the Holy Spirit and Jesus the Son of God at the time of the conception and birth of Jesus. Please note that it does not say “God the Holy Spirit” and “God the Son”, but “the Holy Spirit” (which is) “the power of the Highest” and “the Son of God”. What can you do now, Apple7…?

Hardly worth a comment as Melchizedek is not the Holy Spirit. How many of your fellow Trinitarians (apart from JudgeRightly) agree with your new logic?

Where was the holy Spirit during Jesus' ministry?

"But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified."

Are either of you aware of what you are implying here?!

The holy Spirit impregnated Mary.

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 1:18)

A person who impregnates a woman is the child's father by law.

Obviously, the holy Spirit is not a person.

Scripture disagrees with you.....again...

Childish logic.

Are you saying the logos was in BOTH?

I never gave that a thought, I must look into that.

Thanks Apple7, you have awakened my mind to a new subject.

Was the logos in Mel and Jesus? Or could the logos be Mel?
