Trump ...

... constant flip flops
... can't even remember what he's said
... acts like an angry child caught with his hand in a cookie jar
... petulantly trying to deny it.
... He downplayed the virus from the get go
... only changed tune when he had no choice

Where's your objectivity?

:darwinsm:

he's like a trained dog, isn't he?

someone give him a cooky

The mockingbird media came out Friday and reported on a "very hopeful" study on using a brand new drug--read very expensive--for treating coronavirus. I mean it's so successful only 13% of the patients treated with it died. And that, according to the mockingbird media, is very good news indeed. :dizzy: But a treatment of severely ill patients with a 0% failure rate that is affordable for even the poor is really dodgy and should be disregarded at all costs.

Is there any doubt that we live in a world gone completely insane?

I would appear from your claims that you are well instructed in this subject, and intelligent, and mature.
So I look forward to a few brief answers from you.

Our Medical chiefs suggest that such anti-inflammatory drugs as NDAIDS could cause complications for Covid-19 sufferers.
But that is irrelevant to the subject of this thread, no?
So why don't we take a look at the subject matter of the thread. OK?

LA Doctor claims hydroxychloroquine treatment cures coronavirus in 8 to 12 hours.

Questions:-
1. Are you sure about what this LA Doctor claims?
2. What % of Covid-19 sufferers can be cured with the above medication?
3. What stocks of hydroxychloroquine are available for patients in the USA at this time?
4. How fast can hydroxychloroquine be produced?
5. What % of patients receiving hydroxychloroquine will be adversely affected?
6. Please give a date by which time the USA will be clear of Covid-19 or at least controlling it. ?

I look forward to your answers.

My reply? That you're incapable of following a logical argument and descend immediately into logical fallacies.

When did I put forth a treatment of coronavirus using nsaids? Never happened. But you're using the dishonesty of claiming I did.

What I did reply to was your assertion that since hydroxychloroquine has side effects it shouldn't be used and that Trump is proven to be an idiot because he gave a recommendation for something he called promising. Side effects was your only argument for not using a promising hydroxychloroquine regimen. So I gave a commonly prescribed medicine that has severe side effects yet doctors prescribe it regularly. That proves the absurdity, not only of your statements on side effects, but the doctors who have come out and criticized the usage of hydroxychloroquine based upon side effects. Every drug you've ever been prescribed and have taken has side effects, so to criticize hydroxychloroquine on that basis is pure insanity.

Now to the doctors saying hydroxychloroquine shouldn't be used because it has side effects. The hypocrisy of their position is incredible for every drug they prescribe has side effects, and often very severe side effects. Anyone think there's more than a little corruption in them taking such a position when they get kickbacks from big pharma for prescribing their latest and "greatest" drugs? They don't get a kickback for prescribing a drug regimen that costs less than $20. Just couldn't be any self-interest in such a position by a doctor could there?

The media's highly touted drug remsdivir will cost somewhere between $900 and $1000 per course of treatment. Think there's any pressure from big pharma to use it? It would mean trillions of dollars of revenue to the company making it. Remsdivir is so good only 13% of the patients treated with it die. Ain't that just terrific? That's a higher percentage of deaths than current treatments, but yet it's being touted a great advance.... Great advance for who? Not the patient.

I anm the child, right? Listen! Out of the mouths of babes......

You mentioned them in an ignorant and illogical analogy.
One drug's characteristics can't prove another's.
It was dishonest of you, and puerile. You're supposed to be the adult, remember?

Stop you there! When doctors disagree they are not being dishonesty or hypocritical.
You'll debate more effectively if you give up chgucking absurdities about.

Look, ffreeloader, you either learned something before you posted this thread or you didn't.
Now let's see if you can answer those questions yet....... ;'cos you're looking daft if you can't.

I have been on this doctor's website and so far no patients have offered feedback or given a single star-rating.

The coronavirus is very good at two things: 1. infecting people 2. generating conspiracy theories.

and that's exactly what the Illuminati intended when they paid the Taiwanese to genetically engineer it for them and plant it in Wuhan

Once again your ignorance of this entire situation is showing. Dr. Zelenko is a Hasidic Jew and his practice is made up of Hasidic Jews. In their culture the only people allowed to use the internet are business men and/or community/religious leaders publishing their beliefs. So, no his clientele is not going to comment on the internet as his clientele is an ultra orthodox Hasidic Jewish community called Kiryas Joel in New York. He doesn't treat goyim.

It is perfectly logical and rational to show the irrationality of another person's arguments against something. And your dislike of hydroxychloroquine and Trump being expressed in terms of the side effects of one drug while accepting even worse side effects in other drugs by your, and the medical community's, use of them is a completely logical form of argumentation. It exposes the hypocrisy and hypocrisy is never a valid form of argument. Oh, I suppose is makes you angry but if you're going to debate with me don't expect me to accept hypocrisy as a form of argument. As far as I'm concerned you can just scratch your own mad spot.

I have no interest in answering your specific questions. They have mostly been answered by this thread, and the rest are just obfuscation and the desire to find ways to further distract from the main point of this thread. Your seeming inability to understand what you've read here sort of tickles my funny bone.

Jonahdog Also this: "Some doctors have been vocal in advocating the drug. Dr Vladimir Zelenko, a general practitioner in upstate New York, has claimed that a three-drug cocktail of hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin and zinc sulfate has helped mitigate the infection in nearly 200 hundred of his patients before they became sick enough to require hospitalization." -- https://www.reuters.com/article/us-h...-idUSKBN21O2VO

Some doctors in Australia and Europe, such as Didier Raoult, also advocate for this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Didier_Raoult#COVID-19

Edit: I should add this about Dider Raoult: https://retractionwatch.com/2020/04/...cCA87Qd08LA_iA

And this: "Is France’s president fueling the hype over an unproven coronavirus treatment?" -- https://www.sciencemag.org/news/202...ciMag&utm_source=JHubbard&utm_medium=Facebook

First question, how did Dr. Zelenko know his patients were infected with the coronavirus? They were not sick enough for hospitalization yet he tested them? When did he test them, how quickly did the tests come back?

So, you went to Dr. Cardillo's website to learn about Dr. Zelenko. Smart move....

LOL. Think what you like. I don't much care what your opinion of me is. I know it is going to be negative no matter what I do.

A less than 5 minute search found a site with 12 ratings on a 1 to 5 scale on Dr. Cardillo. 9 out of the 12 gave him an overall 5 star rating. Yeah, he must just be one of the absolutely worst doctors in existence.

And here is something you will quite literally hate as it says doctors around the world are praising the hydroxychloroquine regimen for treating coronavirus infections,

Over the past three weeks, there's been debate over whether hydroxychloroquine, a drug used for decades to treat malaria, can help ease the symptoms of Wuhan coronavirus. During White House press briefings, reporters have done their best to shoot down the possibility.

But doctors around the country and the world are using it and seeing positive results.

.........................................
Dr. Mohammud Alam, an infectious disease specialist affiliated with Plainview Hospital, said 81 percent of infected covid patients he treated at three Long Island nursing homes recovered from the contagion.

“In this crisis, I realized I had to do something,” Alam said. ”I realized if this was my dad, what would I do? And I would do anything I could to help.”

Alam said he decided he could not apply the touted combination of the antimalarial hydroxychloroquine and antibiotic azithromycin because the side effects could be potentially fatal for his high-risk patients, many of whom had underlying heart issues.

So instead, Alam replaced azithromycin with another decades-old antibiotic that doesn’t pose any known risks to the heart.
................................
Dr. Stephen Smith, founder of The Smith Center for Infectious Diseases and Urban Health, said on “The Ingraham Angle” on Wednesday night that he is optimistic about the use of antimalarial medications and antibiotics to treat COVID-19 patients, calling it “a game-changer.”

Smith, who is treating 72 COVID-19 patients, said that he has been treating "everybody with hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin [an antibiotic]. We’ve been doing so for a while.”

He pointed out that not a single COVID-19 patient of his that has been on the hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin regimen for five days or more has had to be intubated.
.......................................

An international poll of thousands of doctors rated the Trump-touted anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine the best treatment for the novel coronavirus.

Of the 6,227 physicians surveyed in 30 countries, 37 percent rated hydroxychloroquine the “most effective therapy” for combating the potentially deadly illness, according to the results released Thursday.

The survey, conducted by the global health care polling company Sermo, also found that 23 percent of medical professionals had prescribed the drug in the US — far less than other countries.

"Outside the US, hydroxychloroquine was equally used for diagnosed patients with mild to severe symptoms whereas in the US it was most commonly used for high risk diagnosed patients,” the survey found.

The medicine was most widely used in Spain, where 72 percent of physicians said they had prescribed it.

Now, if you take into account all the treatments being used that 37% of doctors said that one form or another of hydroxychloroquine treatment is the best treatment therapy for coronavirus that is most likely the most popular treatment option of doctors around the world.

Ain't it just ironic how your position just keeps on failing and your ignorance just seems to keep on growing as the evidence rolls in from around the world?

Remember that discussion we had several weeks ago about you being a jerk and maybe not recognizing it? Remember I asked you if you were on the spectrum and you avoided answering?

You're doing it again.

That part above of yours that I quoted - that's what normal people recognize as you being a jerk.

You should stop doing it.

he seems to have an emotional attachment to the idea that this (the Chinese Virus) is going to be the end of the world

I think it's secondary to his obsessive irrational hatred of Trump, but he is certainly resistant to any good news about this "pandemic"

I'm sure his mental health would benefit from tossing the telly in the rubbish bin

I can only shake my head at all the negativity around hydroxychloroquine. I found malaria patients posting their experience with hydroxychloroquine online today. Only one had had a negative experience with it and that was due to an allergy by the sounds of it. All the rest said they had taken it for years without any side effects. All of them said if they caught the coronavirus that they would eagerly volunteer to be test subjects for the hydroxychloroquine trials. Amazing how often reality interferes with outright hatred of Trump and thus hatred of anything he suggests. He's made the best recommendation for treatment so far. Only in this country do we see idiots say he's trying to kill people with his recommendations. The rest of the world pretty much agrees with him.

BTW, clean out your PM mailbox. I have something for you to read.

I don'y get the basic idea. There's a super-cure to the coronavirus that the press and medical community are ignoring? Is that it? Why are they ignoring it?
