How the Gospel Interprets the Bible

The ministry of reconciliation is the preaching of the Gospel. In the Gospel we are reconciled to God by the doing and the dying of Jesus. Jesus is the reconciler, Romans 3:26. Not our obedience to the law.

You have to obey Jesus, it is what Paul preached. Paul preached more commands than anyone.

2 Corinthians 10:5
We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

Romans 1:5
through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for His name's sake,

Romans 6:17
But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed,

Romans 13:1
Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.

You cannot get around it, Pate, Paul taught to obey God's commands.

This scripture must really irritate you:

1 Corinthians 7:19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God’s commands is what counts.

I "got" Romans through Philemon rightly divided...

The works of the law are the purification works.

Those are the works that Paul speaks of when he says no works.

Paul would not ever say we are saved by faith and not obeying.

Think about it.

Galatians 3:10 KJV

Truth be told: we were never under the law, commandments or ordinances!

The Gentiles were without God in the world because they didn't do the works of the law.

The works of the law are the purification works.

You have to have living faith to have access to being justified.

Romans 5:2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

Jesus reconciles those he chooses.

Just as the apostles that were chosen had obeyed, so do we have to obey to be reconciled.

2 Corinthians 5:18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

Jesus has ALREADY reconciled the whole world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:19.

Sinners and all. You can't figure that one out can you?

The Galatians were not "without God in the world because they didn't do the works of the law" as they were included in the "our":

Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

They were innies with Israel (Acts 13:16 KJV, Acts 13:26 KJV) found in synagogue after synagogue and heirs according to the promise (Genesis 12:3 KJV, Galatians 3:29 KJV) as the Jews still had an advantage (Romans 3:1-4 KJV) and Paul was gathering in the remnant according to the election of grace which God foreknew (Romans 11:1-6 KJV).

Whereas we are likened to Gentiles who in time past were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world (Ephesians 2:11-12 KJV). We were never under the law, had no hope. Rather, a curse and no way of salvation unless God had a mystery and we could be made partakers by the gospel and that's exactly what we see in Ephesians 3:1-9 KJV/ in the but now where we were made nigh by the blood (Ephesians 2:15 KJV)! Mystery of the gospel, baby!

Ephesians 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

That's by the blood/by the gospel and not all of your made up so called obedience (which you don't).

God doesn't reconcile us until we come to him with living faith.

You misunderstand the scriptures.

You have twisted the scripture to make it say something that it doesn't say.

The work of reconciliation that was done by Jesus Christ is unconditional. It was not dependent upon any thing that we do. It was something that was done before we were born. Our part is to accept the offer of reconciliation that is being offered to us. This is why Paul said, "We pray you in Christ's stead, BE YE RECONCILED UNTO GOD" 2 Corinthians 5:20.

They didn't become heirs until they came to God though living faith in Jesus Christ.

The Gentiles were without God in the world because they didn't come into the covenant of the circumcision.

Ephesians 2:12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.

Acts 2:39
This promise belongs to you and to your children and to all who are far off, to all whom the Lord our God will call to Himself."

Galatians 4:8
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods.

Colossians 1:21
Once you were alienated from God and were hostile in your minds because of your evil deeds.

1 Thessalonians 4:5
not in lustful passion like the Gentiles who do not know God;

You are badly mistaken. You keep people hindered.

You have not been reconciled to God by Jesus Christ. You are trying to reconcile yourself to God by your obedience to the law. Its not going to work, remember this Christian tried to warn you.

Teaching people they don't have to obey and can't obey Jesus is wrong.

Even the demons know better than you.

That scripture is about if you don't admit you are sinner and repent of your sins, then you can't get saved.

Christians are not led by the law. Where there is law there is judgment. This is why Paul said to the Galatians, "Tell me that you desire to be under the law. Do you NOT HEAR THE LAW?" Galatians 4:21.

To be under the law is to be under judgment and condemnation.

The gospel is about Jesus' blood washing your sins away. Get over it, because you have to ask for forgiveness of those sins you want washed away. If you don't then you didn't hear the gospel and you didn't come to him through his body.
