"Ami" is slang for American. Sometimes, Germans call the United States, "Amiland".

I find it funny.

I chose "tomopotamus" because hippos are down right cool..and my name happens to fit in to that first syllable rather well.

Is that book in your signature written by you? I just searched for it on Amazon [since I'm in Germany]--if so, is there any difference between the hard/soft cover versions

Monkeys are okay. I think that gorillas are cooler than orangutans though. I don't dig their orange hair too much.
