So freewill is a lie of the devil, man has no freewill to come to Christ. A person can come to Christ if the Father draws him Jn 6:44. This drawing is the the Sovereign Power and Grace of the Holy Spirit of God !

Does God have free will? Or is he locked into events and can't do anything other than what he predestined?

To extrapolate that, did God have the ability to choose what he predestined? Or was he predestined by something else?

Man chooses evil when grace is absent.

Saint Augustine agreed with this, as well as other historical theologians between him to John Calvin.

People are simply offended by the notion that they aren't the martyred paragons they internally see themselves as, so they go after Reformed doctrine.

Those scriptures were said by Jesus when the faithless Jews were cut off and hardened by God!

The only Jews who could come to Jesus to be saved were the Jews who already belonged to God before Jesus came.

They came to Jesus because they recognized what Jesus said as being the words of God.

John 6:45 Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me.

Did you read that?

That is not some special enabling to those who hate God, as you teach.

Whether faithless jews or faithless gentiles, makes no difference.

No one has the Faith that Saves unless they are born again, Born of the Spirit.

Gal. 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith

I heard the Word sometime after praying while I was at very least still agnostic, really still atheist but more spiritual maybe. You act as if one can only hear the word from scripture or the congregation and then come to know faith through them. I am saying that the Word of GOD can come via other avenues than scripture alone, and it gives faith to that lost and weary soul.

You can hear it from someone else, or you can hear it when you read it on your own.

I am telling you what the Holy Bible says.

Mans will is not free, for he cant come to Christ unless the Father draws him Jn 6:44

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

I was indeed remorseful and actively repenting or trying to change from my previous ways.

That is what God says to do.

But I had no direct or inclination to do so via a book I had never read or a church I had never attended. I knew what I loathed was wrong but didn't see it as sin.

What did you loathe?

So are you trying to say that an agnostic is a believer and as such can be given faith? I'm so confused.
Faith comes from hearing, being, taught, persuaded, and convinced.
Paul is a unique person in that his faith in Jesus came from Jesus speaking to him on the road to Damascus.
Paul still had to obey Jesus after he had faith.
All have to have faith with obedience if they want to be saved.
That is what the Bible plainly says.
Really now that I think about it. I had been given faith in 2011 and didn't really read the new testament until a little over a year ago maybe.

So how does that align with your opinion that hearing and faith must come from the little book?
You claim you had faith in God but NEVER EVER heard of HIM?!

That just doesn't make sense not one bit.

I am not going to go by what you claim. I will only go by the Holy Bible.

Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

You must have heard SOMETHING of Him, or how in the world could you believe ANYTHING about Him, or even hate Him as you claim you did?

No one has the Faith that Saves unless they are born again, Born of the Spirit.

You have that wrong. No one is born again unless they have faith, living faith, which is faith with obedience.

See Acts 5:32, and John 14:23.

Gal. 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith

Just because we have to keep having faith AFTER we are saved does NOT mean we did NOT have it BEFORE we were saved.

Just look at what else that scripture says is the fruit of the Spirit, it says love is.

People love BEFORE they get saved! Even the wicked love those who love them.

You are badly mistaken!

Luke 6:32 "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.

What?! How did you hear about God when you NEVER EVER heard not one word about Him until you just knew and believed?

How did YOU HATE Him before you believed in Him if YOU NEVER ever heard of Him?

You are just too confused to come off as a teacher.

You are putting yourself in a bad way teaching things that the Bible does not say.

Teachers will be judged more strictly.

Maybe you should humble yourself more.

One of my favorite Scriptures with a promise from our Blessed Assurance.

Jesus said that to the Jews when he was on earth and he was differentiating between them and CUT OFF and HARDENED JEWS.

Luke 19:42 and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace--but now it is hidden from your eyes.
Luke 8:10
He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, "'though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.'

John 12:40
"He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn--and I would heal them."

Romans 11:8
as it is written: "God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear, to this very day."
Matthew 13:14
In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.

Mark 4:12 so that, "'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!'"

Mark 8:17And Jesus, aware of this, said to them, "Why do you discuss the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet see or understand? Do you have a hardened heart? 18"HAVING EYES, DO YOU NOT SEE? AND HAVING EARS, DO YOU NOT HEAR? And do you not remember,

Of course I had heard of the concept of GOD and heard of Jesus. I wasn't living under a rock in utter solitude.

As an atheist or unbeliever for over twenty years I went through separate phases I guess you could say. And due to the observable pain within existence and my ignorance and flawed or partial view or perception at one point in time I did hate the idea of god because I thought it utterly cruel, and I hated the religious from a distance because I thought they were manipulative and foolish.

I never claimed to be a teacher friend, but your words are wholly contrary to thos in my inbox, and all because you have some issue or other with me hearing the Word of GOD and being given the gift of Faith.

That is a shameful thing but I will not judge for I too sin still.

PB is not claiming to be a teacher.

He does not claim to be a teacher. It is a grave sin to false witnessing.

and he sounds very humble Christian.

He has been trying to correct me as a teacher.

You are a false witness.

Heed your own warning.

Have you stopped blaspheming against Paul?
