Universal healthcare will decide this election as it has decided the last 2...I've been saying it for 8 years.

And the greater majority is still against it, your right though, the rejection of universal healthcare will decide the election.

I gave you the example of no less a conservative [I was about to say plutocrat] than Winston Churchill who was so desperate to win in 1950 that he pledged to implement Labour's National Health Service....why can't Americans sense the mood?

What mood? socialism or socialized entitlements? We are not interested in expanding the government footprint we want to shrink it. Here's an idea  how about I keep more of my money, that I earned and I will pay for what I want concerning health care, and others do the same. I don't work for to support the public, I work for to support my family...it is called liberty, you Brits would not understand the concept.

4 years ago Romney stood up in Ohio and pledged to scrap Obamacare and a great groan went up, I knew he would lose.

And after people have felt the effects of being forced to pay for socialized heath care the greater majority want the entire thing scrapped...except for the takers of society, we have an entire generation that want a freebie....but, it aint free for a larger portion of society.

I wonder what chrys is going to do when Trump wins the Republican nomination.

He will cry, about as hard as I did,
when Obama was elected for the
second time.

Chrys lives in denial of the simple fact
that the Republican establishment is just
as corrupt as the Democrats. He does not
want to talk about the fact that Bush's
grandfather was selling steel and weapons
to Hitler and Nazi Germany.

Big win tonight for Cruz. Huckabee drops out which will also help Cruz moving forward. Now we just need Carson to drop out and I think we really have a chance to knock off liberal Trump for the nomination.

I will bet you a lifetime membership that Trump
beats Cruz by more than 2.7 percent in the
New Hampshire primary.

Will you call that a big win for Trump?

I'd like to make a wager with THall: if Trump wins (at all, let alone "big"), I'll leave TOL. If Trump doesn't win (and of course Trump won't win), THall leaves TOL. No new registration, no sock puppets, just leave. Why? Because I can't stand THall; I think he's a blowhard.

Sounds good and fair to me. How about it? Heck, I'll throw in a donation to the charity of THall's choice on my way out.

you hafta admit trump's gotten further than you ever dreamed possible - wouldn't it be courageous of you to admit you were wrong and let tol have a nice long break from your weird crap? :wave2:

Your best work, brilliantly stated.:thumb:

People are tired of lying politicians.

People are tired of lazy politicians.

People are tired of incompetent politicians.

People need jobs.

People need a leader with great business sense.

People need a leader with enough spine to actually
do security rather than just talk about it.

People need a leader with excellent negotiating skills.

Trump has the smartest people working for him.

Trump has the most direct communication style.

Trump is the best negotiator running for President.

Trump's team has given him the right message to take to the people.

Trump knows how to build things, not just steal.

The egomaniac also knows how to lose Iowa to a real conservative.

Sorry, but I haven't been following this thread, so forgive me if these things have already been addressed.

Back on page 3 the author of this thread wrote the following:

I don't support any Republican that
has violated their oath to defend the
United States Constitution, and sadly
most have.

You shouldn't support any candidate who doesn't swear to uphold the law of the land, i.e. the United States Constitution. Has Donald Trump ever said that he will?

I can think of a handful of things that Trump wants to do that directly violates the US Constitution. Can you?

Continuing on page 3 the author of this thread writes:

I used to be a Republican, until they:

1. Started acting like Democrats

2. Started stealing from the American people

3. Started ignoring our laws

4. Continued to fund Obama's agenda

5. Started lying about Tea Party members

6. Passed DOMA, and asset forfeiture.

7. Continued to spend us into debt.

8. Violated our Bill of Rights in uncountable ways.

All but #6 are subjective opinions of the author of this thread. But I have to ask why does the Defense of Marriage Act bother THall so much? (Surely we don't have a homosexualist in our midst do we?).

Make no mistake about it, Donnie Trump is a huge defender of the LGBTQueer movement, is that part of the appeal THall?

My first choice was Cruz, and my second choice was Rubio, so I'm happy. I consider Trump to be a Democrat, and I don't want a Democrat to be elected as POTUS. On to New Hampshire. Cruz is a good man and a Christian, so I hope that Christians support him.

I think it will be Cruz, or Rubio in New Hampshire.

I like both Trump and Cruz for
different reasons.
If I could wave a magic wand
it would be Trump for President
and Cruz for Vice President, that
would be the ticket.
Trump has more business savvy,
and Cruz is more likely to protect
the Constitution.

We need to shake up the Republican Party
BIGTIME!

Trump will do a better job of that.

If Cruz is VP he can run for President
after Trump has 4 years to fix our
economic woes. We then have a staunch
Constitutionalist as President for 8 years.

Since he announced he was running, I've wondered how Trump is going to exit the race, given that he wouldn't allow himself to be in a position that he could be cast as a loser, which stepping down from the election would obviously do. I've been saying for a while that his exit will be along the lines of him saying "This election is stupid, I'm too much of a winner to play in your stupid game!" ... I think him not being in the debate is his setting the foundation for that. "I'm not going to be in your stupid debate! It's stupid, and I'm too great for that! I love America too much!" He's setting up a way to step down but not seem like he has to. He'll look like he's stepping away, rather than stepping down.

Remember what I said more than three months ago?

On page 8 the author of this thread wisely addresses the need to abide by the rule of law (immigration policies)

She is not an American, spoiled fruit.

You are in denial of law breakers like all
libtards.

You talk about respect yet applaud when
foreigners disrespect out laws.....

Too hypocritical to earn my respect, wise up.
http://www.theologyonline.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4375776&postcount=107

yet doesn't appear to know his candidates true stance on the issue of illegal immigration:

From a July 30, 2015 article:

Donald Trump has rocketed to the top of the 2016 Republican primary polls because he has embraced the base's populist fervor on immigration. But his hardline rhetoric aside, is his substantive policy position on the issue really that different from most pro-amnesty Republican candidates?

In an interview with CNN's Dana Bash, Trump suggested that he would deport the bad illegal immigrants but offer "legal status" to the good illegal immigrants. "We got to move 'em out, we're going to move 'em back in if they're really good people," he said.

That's essentially what "comprehensive immigration reform" promises to do: separate illegal immigrants who can't pass a background check from others who will pay back taxes, fines, learn English, pass a civics test and jump through whatever other bureaucratic hoops are supposed to distinguish the path to "legal status" from amnesty.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/is-this-donald-trumps-amnesty/article/2569293

Either they are here illegally or they aren't. "Good illegal immigrants"?

The above may be the queerest thing
you have ever said.
If you want to know what I think about
homosexuality, just read Leviticus 20:13

DOMA is a violation of the 10th Amendment.
Some things are state's rights issues, they
are not and should not be touched by the FEDS.

DOMA in every state, would be much preferred,
provided we had an honest Supreme Court......

If you truly studied both candidates you'd know that there is no comparing the two. Donald Trump is a political insider, pretending to be on the outside.

Where was Cruz when Obama was saying
it was legal to drone Americans on American
soil? Hiding.

Cruz has his own list of contradiction and hypocrisies.
Non of these candidates are perfect.
