Here's why Trump wants us all to go back to work

Nice virtue signaling. Yeah, I get it: "I'm with science, and you're not! Hurrah, hurrah, hurrah!" Yay for you.

It's funny that you and eider profess to know that hand sanitizer kills "nCOV 2019" when you apply it to your hands, despite your admission that you do not even have a scientific way to know that "nCOV 2019" is on your hands (either before, or after, using hand sanitizer), in the first place. Guess what: If there is no "nCOV 2019" on your hands, then, if hand sanitizer used on your hands kills anything on your hands, one thing that it does not kill is "nCOV 2019". Pretty simple: no "nCOV 2019", no "nCOV 2019" being killed.

All I'm asking is, is there a scientific way to know that "nCOV 2019" is on your hands? If there is no scientific way to know that "nCOV 2019" is on your hands--whether before, or after, hand sanitizer has been applied to them--then, obviously, there is no scientific way to know that "nCOV 2019" is being killed when using hand sanitizer on your hands.

Contrary to what masses of media-enthralled imbeciles may think, nobody is a hero, nor even particularly virtuous, for carrying around hand sanitizer and rubbing it on his/her hands all day long.

Here's a question for you and eider to stonewall against:

I "nCOV 2019" on your hands right now? Yes or No.

That's a question? Look Djengo, I have no idea whether I've got Covid-19 on my hands or a myriad other viruses. What I do know is that it's sensible to take precautions including regularly washing one's hands with soap if nothing else. Your "hero" stuff is irrelevant and just bemusing. There is a pandemic going on right now, it ain't nice and it's probably going to go on for a while. Focus on that.

A person has to admit they are a sinner to get saved, and then they repent of their sins and then live their life training themselves to do right and not sin. A Christian isn't supposed to keep saying they are a sinner. Christians aren't sinners in Christ. Christians are washed clean and do what they can to live up to that.

As for Trump, I'm not going to say whether I think he is one or not.

Do you think it's responsible of him to refuse to wear a mask despite it being recommended to do so as per the video a few posts above?

What were those doctors and scientists saying about the mask?

Mr Trump announced the CDC's guidance at the White House daily coronavirus briefing, but repeatedly emphasised that the advisory was "voluntary".

"You don't have to do it," he said. "I'm choosing not to do it, but some people may want to do it and that's OK. It may be good. Probably will."

Asked why, he said: "I just don't want to be doing [that], somehow sitting in the Oval Office behind that beautiful resolute desk, the great Resolute Desk."

"I think wearing a face mask as I greet presidents, prime ministers, dictators, kings, queens, I don't know somehow I don't see it for myself. I just don't. Maybe I'll change my mind."

That doesn't sound like a narcissist at all does it?

Exactly. And thus, you have no idea whether or not putting hand sanitizer on your hands will kill any COVID-19.

Since you have no idea whether or not there's COVID-19 on your hands, you have no idea whether or not you are killing any COVID-19 when applying hand sanitizer to your hands.

What I do know is that it's sensible to take precautions

Since you do not know whether or not putting hand sanitizer on your hands is killing any COVID-19, you do not know whether or not putting hand sanitizer on your hands is even a precaution. If, after having put hand sanitizer on your hands, you do not know whether or not there is COVID-19 on your hands, you do not know whether or not you are any safer against COVID-19 than you were prior to having put on the hand sanitizer.

You don't even know enough to say, "IF there is any COVID-19 on my hand, it's dead now, since I've used hand sanitizer." The best you can do is to say, "IF there is any COVID-19 on my hand, it may or may not be dead now, since I've used hand sanitizer."

Hmm, let me put it this way. Washing hands is good. Taking precautions is good. Not washing hands is bad. Not taking precautions is bad.

Why do you feel the need to try to change the subject? Have I been talking about hand washing? No. Rather, I've been talking about using hand sanitizer. Using hand sanitizer and washing hands are two, different things. Even the CDC will tell you that:

Washing hands with soap and water is the best way to get rid of germs in most situations. If soap and water are not readily available, you can use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

CDC recommends washing hands with soap and water whenever possible because handwashing reduces the amounts of all types of germs and chemicals on hands. But if soap and water are not available, using a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol can help you avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. The guidance for effective handwashing and use of hand sanitizer in community settings was developed based on data from a number of studies.

Notice that you did not say, "Using hand sanitizer is good", nor "Not using hand sanitizer is bad." This is because you do not even know whether or not by using hand sanitizer you are killing COVID-19.

Please try to explain how (as you imagine) using hand sanitizer is taking precaution against COVID-19, when you do not even know that, by using it, you are killing COVID-19.

Are you including use of hand sanitizer in your word, "else"? Are you saying use of hand sanitizer is somehow preferable to hand washing? Because, the CDC seems to say just the opposite:

If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

Well, the fact that the CDC suggests it - not as a first choice, but still as useful, indicates that it is a useful precaution. I take some with me when I (rarely) leave my house. But when I get home- I wash my hands.
How does it work? Apparently by denaturing the viral protein. So yes, it does inactivate the virus.

I don't have any hand sanitizer. I use soap and water. From what I've gathered the only hand sanitizers that are effective have to be alcohol based. That answered you now?

It's even more bizarre considering he's been on ignore for months.

it's even bizarrerer considering i have UN on ignore and only saw his obsessive comment about me reflected in your post, in which you pretend to have me on ignore

This is "ok doser's" standard response trying to attack the messenger rather than debate the merits of the message - there is all part of a reoccurring pattern whereby those who allow themselves to be enticed into personal exchanges with him get reported and banned!

"Ok doser" has even threatened to have Theology Online provide him with confidential information to use against me - apparently he has a free hand to say or do what he wants because so far there have been no consequences!
