Young Secularists Choose Animals Over People

If you were to inquire as their preference, animals, or people, young people who do not believe in God, value animal life over human life.

One must question why they think this way? If seems, animals are held in higher regard because they are innocent. Humans know good from evil, and cannot be other than evil; they believe humans are bad. Obviously, human conscience is what makes people bad.

Why did the Israelite people worship the Golden Calf while Moses had gone off to the mountain? They reverted back to the primitive secular condition.

Only God gives humans the understanding of value in being human.

So the humanists don't value being human?

In any case, I don't know any secularist who doesn't value humans over animals, so the basis for your question is false.

Just like a cross with Jesus on it, pagans didn't specifically worship the object but the god or gods it represented.

People wanting to be good stewards of the earth and the life in it are not worshipping a god, but are trying to make the earth good for animals/plants which in turn makes it a better place for humans.

A humanist would, although these young goofballs have gone beyond humanism now.

Pointless. The point is when asked what they value more, they the most value on animal life. If asked to choose which they place the highest value on, human, or animal, they pick the animal. This is because they are trying to create a morality out of nothing. If they was immoral godless humans, they would eat anything they like to eat, maybe including you.

i'm guessing that it's probably because they are thinking in terms of specifics

for example, I would value my pet beagle over Hillary Clinton

yea, if you gave her a lobotomy and dressed her in a dog suit, she would still stink.

This sounds a whole lot more like Christian thinking, than secular thinking. There are many Christians who think mankind is hopelessly evil and sinful. And apparently you don't understand what "secular" means. When the Israelites worshipped the golden calf they were not being "secularists", they were being idol-worshipping pagans.

Also, God may give us the ability to value other human beings, but He clearly doesn't give that ability to only Christians. As there are many Christians who do NOT value other humans beings, just as there are many non-Christians who do value their fellow humans. So I don't really know where you think you're going with any of this.

People who value the lives of animals generally value life in all forms. And that includes valuing human lives.
