[Woman With Wife Pleads Guilty To Bigamy For Failing To Divorce Husband First Waynesboro, Va. (AP)] "A woman who married her female partner last year without first divorcing her husband has pleaded guilty to bigamy and other charges in Virginia.

The News Virginian of Waynesboro reports 28-year-old Keyshana Rae Childress was sentenced to two years’ probation.

Prosecutors say Childress signed a marriage license in October 2014 and lied about being married. Childress was already married to a 51-year-old man from Charlottesville. After marrying her 27-year-old female partner, Childress took her three children to Gainesville, Florida.

In January, the husband told police Childress took the children to Florida without his permission and against a child custody and visitation order..." Full text: Woman With Wife Pleads Guilty To Bigamy For Failing To Divorce Husband First :dizzy:

Shows she agrees that marrying another woman isnt a real marriage.

Actually though its just a ploy to make same marriage legal, if she can be prosecuted for bigamy, the marriage had to be legal - a kind of backdoor way to push gay marriage.

Yes (Ps 40:8). This is God's universe. He has defined marriage (Gen. 2:18–24, Mt 19:6, Rom. 7:2, 3, 2 Co 2:11). The Sodomite suppresses the truth in unrighteousness (Ro 1:18).

One will not trick God :sozo2: as to what constitutes a legal marriage (Matt. 19:6, Rom. 7:2, 3). :dizzy: It won't end well for the Sodomite (Heb. 13:4). :burnlib:

"John 4:17 I have no husband (οὐκ ἐχω ἀνδρα [ouk echō andra]). The Greek ἀνηρ [anēr] means either “man” or “husband.” She had her “man,” but he was not a legal “husband.” Her language veils her deceit. Thou saidst well (καλως εἰπες [kalōs eipes]). Jesus saw through the double sense of her language and read her heart as he only can do, a supernatural gift of which John often speaks (1:48; 2:24f.; 5:20). For thou hast had five husbands (πεντε γαρ ἀνδρας ἐσχες [pente gar andras esches]). “For thou didst have five men.” Second aorist (constative) active indicative of ἐχω [echō]. Is not thy husband (οὐκ ἐστιν σου ἀνηρ [ouk estin sou anēr]). In the full and legal sense of ἀνηρ [anēr], not a mere “man.” This hast thou said truly (τουτο ἀληθες εἰρηκας [touto alēthes eirēkas]). “This a true thing thou hast said.” Note absence of article with ἀληθες [alēthes] (predicate accusative). Perfect active indicative εἰρηκας [eirēkas] here, not aorist εἰπες [eipes] (verse 17)." Robertson, A. T. (1933). Word Pictures in the New Testament (Jn 4:17). Nashville, TN: Broadman Press.
