what is most wrong with the Republican party?

I have heard a lot of criticism against the R party

what I don't like is that they often do not fight hard enough against really bad Dem ideas.

But they did all vote against Obamacare, so I sometimes wonder why they are overly criticized by those in their own party

Boehner is rather hard to figure out sometimes. Often he seems like a Republican, but sometimes like a RINO

I feel McCain is a rino and a few others. anyway, I am wondering what others think

The only way to make capitalism succeed is a combination of socialism and capitalism. The Law of Moses worked that way.

Republicans are right in the way for individual wealth but are unable to answer the needs of the mass of humanity that will always be the working classes.

Republicans are no longer the brightest, most moral members of our societies. They have decreased into pragmatists. Only what benefits their own pockets is what they will vote for. Same as democrats. This is the unfortunate down cycle of democracy. From representatives who are the smartest and have high morals to pragmatists to hedonism to anarchy to military dictatorship.

Once the majority of the population becomes immoral this is what will happen. Right now our country is a pragmatic one. Our offshore manufacturing is based on individual wealth and not what benefits Americans. Our cultural decline is heading to a hedonistic society at neck breaking speed and there is nothing that will prevent it imo.

I don't get what you mean.

I think socialism totally or more or less totally nullifies capitalism

I believed I was paying my taxes for social programnes but in 2008 they emptied the exchequer into the banks to reflate them.

Capitalism failed in 2008 it still is in failure but has been given a temporary reprieve The next time it fails there will be no more taxes to pour in.

What is most wrong with the Republican party?

The GOP represents the ruling oligarchy as surely as the Democrats. Party fights are real, but the scramble is over loot. There are no serious ideological differences. That’s why Mitch McConnell says Obamacare will not be repealed. After all, it’s quite similar to the Gingrich-Heritage plan offered against Hillarycare. And Obamacare was written by big business, pharmaceutical and insurance. Nor is the GOP against welfare and votes for the world. Like war and the police state, mass immigration is a bipartisan issue, no matter the rhetoric used on the rubes during elections. All would-be world empires, from Rome to the United States, are of necessity multicultural, to secure the consent of far-flung provinces.

Not sure where this came from but dead on...

Pretty much nails it down for what it is..and isn't. Both parties are indistinguishable at this point...the fix is in, and has been for some time for those paying attention.

it's funny how the controlling party points to issues that have been around for decades, blaming the other side. like immigration. i am disdained by both parties, inaction and vindictiveness. all my life. but we are almost forced to choose democrat or republican or we waste our vote. i know there are other parties but the media and big money and the 2 big parties make sure they get shut down. ron paul made the most sense but, he was portrayed poorly and barely covered by networks. oh well, carry on the new american way. like we have a choice. where do these politicians come from ? even if they go in with great intentions, they get swallowed up by money, interests, lobbyists, etc. discouraging:plain:

anyway, i've seen alot of ron paul interviews about TRUE Libertarianism and Volunteerism. way better than capitalism economically. less corruption for sure. it's really the best form of government possible, i think, for the whole world. NOT a one world thing but a Free world. i wish Ron was 25 years younger. but alas, just a dream to have a free-market world economy, where the masses actually control things. the people, like our founders probably envisioned. again, it won't be allowed by power and money. i just feel like my vote doesn't mean much anymore. am i the only one ?:e4e:

Let's just take one; Bush. He did perhaps 2 or 3 things in 8 years that were somewhat "conservative." Other than that he:

1. Pushed what was, until Obama Care, the most massive NEW welfare program since the New Deal; The Prescription Drug Progam.
2. Pushed for EIGHT HUNDRED BILLION to bail out the banks/financial institutions (NOT conservative weather you think it was a "good idea" or not).
3. Pushed the MASSIVELY LIBERAL (and completely SICK) No Child Left Behind Act.
4. Republicans controlled both Houses and the Presidency for 2 years under Bush and managed to RAISE federal spending MORE than the Democrats had (14% compared to 11%).
5. Though parts of the Patriot act where necessary it was overall a massive unconstitutional overreach. Mostly, Bush DID NOTHING to reign in some of the BEYOND PATHETIC practices by the TSA and others. I'm STILL so mad I have to watch my language on it when my 90 year old mother in a wheel chair was singled out for special screening at the Airport after visiting me in Anchorage one time. WORSE was that when it came time to board the (watch it Ugly) IDIOTS forgot to check a box on the form and WE HAD TO GO BACK TO DO THE SPECIAL SCREENING ALL OVER AGAIN. It also caused me to miss an appointment on refinancing my house which wound up costing me an EXTRA TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS.
6. Bush appointed so many liberal and just plain SICK judges it would take a book to list them all. While governor of Texas he appointed a member of Planned Murderhood to the Superior Court.
7. Instead of supporting the South Dakota proposition which could have been the beginning of the end of abortion in this country, Bush did everything he could, including providing lawyers to the opposition, to oppose it.
8. Bush and the RINO congress did little to nothing to reign in massive abuses by an alphabet of government bureaucracies like the EPA, OSHA, NLRB and others.
9. Bush (nor any other major Republican "leader") ever made one peep much less offered legal support to defending groups like the Boy Scouts when they were being savagely attacked by the Gay-stopo. [Bush Sr. was the first president to invite fags leaders to the White House.]
10. Again, for 2 years the RINO's controlled both Houses and the Presidency but did ZERO to address the unfunded liabilities of Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare. It was estimated at $75 TRILLION when he entered office and is now at $125 TRILLION.
11. The Iraq war was a MASSIVE mistake and if people can't see that from what's happening now then there's just no hope.
12. One of the "conservative" things Bush did was lower taxes---WOW, a whole 3% for most. Gee, thanks George---while the National Debt almost doubled from 5.5 trillion to over 10 trillion.

I could go on and on but really the worst thing is that most actually believe Bush was a conservative and it affects how they see "right vs left" and how they will vote---probably for the rest of their lives.

More and more I feel that there is only one party operating in America at the highest levels. That party is called "Greed"! And its objective is to serve itself!
