Trump Should Fire Mueller

Barbarian points out that patrick's link says the opposite what he claims it says:
Did you even read it?

He would love to fire Mueller. But he's afraid of the firestorm that would follow. He'd have to fire who knows how many people in the Justice Department before finding one corrupt enough to do it.

A massive smear campaign seems to have bounced off him, with no effect whatever.
I think the Justice Department is about to be cleaned out momentarily. Stay tuned.

Due to his close relationship with Comey Mueller should have never agreed to take the assignment in the first place. You know, of course, what they say about even an "appearance" of a conflict of interest!

Of course Mueller is worried that the truth will come out about the part he played in the "Uranium One" scandal so he is eager to try to get rid of Trump so that he will not have to go to jail.

It was once before. They called it "the Saturday Night Massacre." Want to hear how that turned out?

The Republicans heard the evidence and turned on Nixon. The Dems heard the evidence about Hillary's email scandal and supported her to the hilt!

Of course the motto of the politically correct bunch of losers is that the end justifies the means!

There's that thing about there having to be a crime. A crime would be something like handing classified information over to the Russians, or lying about talking to Russian agents, or having a meeting with Russian agents about helping to defeat another candidate.

So in the absence of a crime (as Trey Gowdy reluctantly admitted in his final report),there's not much to say , is there? And yes, I know that some people have said that these things that Trump and his underlings did, were necessary in a good cause.

Of course the motto of the politically correct bunch of losers is that the end justifies the means!

I never thought of Trump his cronies as "politically correct." But in a sense, I suppose that they are. Nevertheless, if he tries to do what Nixon did to avoid prosecution, the outcome will likely be the same.

Merit-Based DACA?

The way Obama set it up, it is. As far as making it a general policy, I'm not so sure. How many poor and uneducated people came here, and then made good, enriching America in the process? It's a story we hear again and again in the lives of many, many immigrants.

The reason for Trump's attacks on the FBI are obvious: he is conscious of his guilt, and he is trying to stop them from uncovering it. That's also, probably, why he asked Andrew McCabe who he voted for, explicitly politicizing the administration of justice. But what he doesn't likely understand is that while he may ruin the careers of these career agents, he won't stop them from testifying against him for anything that they know, and he won't stop them from handing evidence that they have over to Mueller. Meanwhile, he still expects that Sessions wouldn't recuse himself, despite the fact that recusal was legally mandatory. Sessions is a witness if not a suspect in this very case, and it appears that he has repeatedly lied about his contacts with the Russians.

Poor Rex, has not figured out yet that the FBI, the DNC, the Clinton compaign, the Brits, and one Australian colluded with the Russians and committed felonies in the FISA court.... they are all going down......

Been a bad few days for Trump. First, the Justice Department managed to recover the lost data. Then, it became clear that Mueller had removed an agent from the investigation when he discovered the agent saying critical things about Trump in an email.

So much for the "he's out to get me" story.

And as the news starts to leak out, Trump's numbers are at their lowest point now.

Nixon and his gang also railed against the prosecutors closing in on them. The public expects that to happen.

But they aren't buying the story.

And now it turns out that Trump attempted to fire Mueller earlier but was stopped by when a WH lawyer threatened to resign if he did it.

WASHINGTON — If Russia special counsel Robert Mueller is building a case of obstruction against President Trump, the president’s thwarted attempt to fire the special counsel last year may have made Mueller’s job that much easier.

Even though White House Counsel Donald McGahn successfully headed off Trump’s reported effort Mueller could use the episode as evidence of Trump’s intent to shield himself from possible legal jeopardy, analysts said.

The New York Times and The Washington Post reported late Thursday that Trump ordered McGahn to fire Mueller in June, but McGahn refused and threatened to quit if the president insisted. The reports said Trump abandoned the idea after that. Trump on Friday dismissed the report as "fake news."

By close relationship, is "Jerry Shugart" referring to the fact that both Comey and Mueller were registered Republicans - can you imagine the conspiracy theories if one or both had the audacity to be registered Democrats!
