Let's try this:

Will one of you creationists please explain how you think evolution works?
Give an example.

Thanks,

Chair

Evolution is the idea that all life is descended from a universal common ancestor by means of random mutations and natural selection.

Let's try again.

All the different types of modern cats, such as house cats, lions, tigers and so on are thought by biologists to have evolved from a single early cat ancestor.

Creationists: Please explain how you think "evolutionists" explain this supposed evolution from a cat ancestor to modern types of cats. I'm not asking you to agree with their explanation. Assume they are wrong- but what are those "evolutionists" thinking? What story are they telling themselves?

Please explain how "evolutionists" think it works. Not what you think it is. How it works, according to "evolutionists".

Ah, so you don't know much about the theory either.

"Yale professor, computer scientist
David Gelernter rejects Darwinism

There’s no reason to doubt that Darwin successfully explained the small adjustments by which an organism adapts to local circumstances: changes to fur density or wing style or beak shape. Yet there are many reasons to doubt whether he can answer the hard questions and explain the big picture—not the fine-tuning of existing species but the emergence of new ones. The origin of species is exactly what Darwin
cannot
explain."

They think all cats are descended from a common cat population by means of random mutations and natural selection.
