No. I think my life is open to the decisions I make, both good and bad. There can be no meaningful relationship between God and His creation if His creation is nothing more than a collection of automaton doing a pre-programmed set of actions.

Nope. :)

But even if I did, what functional difference would it make? :idunno:

It'd probably have some psychological effects. :think:

No, though I do think He purposefully equips individuals with abilities to achieve certain goals in order to positively affect others.

Pro 3:5 Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of Jehovah as the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He will.

Psa 33:9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood.
Psa 33:10 Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He breaks the plots of the people.
Psa 33:11 The counsel of Jehovah stands forever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.
Psa 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah; the people He has chosen for His inheritance.
Psa 33:13 Jehovah looks down from Heaven; He beholds all the sons of mankind.

Psa 37:18 Jehovah knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever.
Psa 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by Jehovah; and He delights in his way.
Psa 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be cast down; for Jehovah upholds his hand.

Job 14:5 For his days are fixed, the number of his months is with You, and You have set his bounds so that he cannot pass;

Isaiah 46:9 Remember former things from forever; for I am God, and no other is God, even none like Me,
Isaiah 46:10 declaring the end from the beginning, and from the past things which were not done, saying, My purpose shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure;
Isaiah 46:11 calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my purpose from a far country. Yes, I have spoken, I will also cause it to come; I have formed; yes, I will do it.

Rom 9:19 You will then say to me, Why does He yet find fault? For who has resisted His will?
Rom 9:20 No, but, O man, who are you who replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to Him who formed it, Why have you made me this way?
Rom 9:21 Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel to honor and another to dishonor?

John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

I believe the final destiny of all souls is determined but the path each soul takes is uniquely its own.

"An Ocean liner leaves New York bound for Liverpool. Its destination has been determined by proper authorities. Nothing can change it. This is at least a faint picture of sovereignty.

On board the Liner are several scores of passengers. These are not in chains, neither are their activities determined for them by decree. They are completely free to move about as they will. They eat, sleep, play, lounge about on the deck, read, talk, altogether as they please; but all the while the great Liner is carrying them steadily onward toward a predetermined port.

Both freedom and sovereignty are present here and they do not contradict each other. So it is, I believe, with man's freedom and the sovereignty of God. The mighty Liner of God's sovereign design keeps its steady course over the sea of history. God moves undisturbed and unhindered toward the fulfillment of those eternal purposes which He purposed in Christ Jesus before the world began. We do not know all that is included in those purposes, but enough has been disclosed to furnish us with a broad outline of things to come and to give us hope and firm assurance of future well-being." - A.W. Tozer

Were the passengers able to choose to get onto the ship or were they "forced" onto the ship?

No.

Not if the Bible can be taken seriously, and our own experience of life can be trusted at all. If God planned every detail of everything, and then pretends to be happy or dissapointed by certain events, He would be like a silly kid playing with toys. (toys that happen to be able to feel and think, which by observation of history would make Him a monster a million times worse than Hitler)

His interactions would be like George Lucas punishing Darth Vader or praising Luke Skywalker.

...And remember, if I am wrong here, and you are insulted by what I said, God Himself made me think this way, and post exactly as I did. Take it up with Him?

Man has "freewill" thus, we make our own choices in life. Having said that, God still has foreknowledge of ALL, He just doesn't, "choose for us!!"
