Life happening...

I was thinking about this yesterday. My oldest child lost his first tooth. It got me thinking. I remember bringing him home from the hospital. I remember rocking him and singing him to sleep. I remember reading him books. I remember the first time he walked and talked. I remember his first haircut. I remember his first day of preschool. I remember the first time he showed me his writing. I remember his first baseball game and his first hit in coach pitch this year. I remember the first time he said that he loved me. So many memories...

Today, I kind of just realized that he is so grown up. We were just playing catch in the backyard, and he was doing everything without my help. I was amazed at how easily he threw and caught the ball. It made my heart glad to know that I've been allowed to have him this long and enjoy this much of him.

Thank you, Father, that I'm his father.

Lovely kids, SOJ. How great a blessing they are. You're just getting a glimpse of what it will be like when they grow up and become your friends.

That is it's own, different blessing. May God watch over you and them.

Today, I'm grateful for clouds and the temperatures down into the 90s.

It's so nice out.

They are wonderful and exhausting all at the same time.

They are really His children. I just get to enjoy them. Thank you.

Only 97 here, with the humidity hovering around 70%...so it feels like 105.:plain:

Better than the 101 with a real feel of about 110 yesterday.
