In many places Christians gravitate to politicians who express their Christian solidarity with fellow humans. On the US right you conflate Christianity with Right Wing politics, so you became convinced that those on the left can't be Christians and that right wing policies take on some sort of religious infallibility.

But that is only 'obvious' to you because of the religious-right 'bubble' you live in. There are plenty of Christians who are not right wingers, even in the US, and the insistence that Christians have to have a certain politics will only drive more of them out of your religion.

It appears as if you speak in "Generalities" and tend to exaggerate. Have you always had a problem with that or is it just since the election?

You haven't answered a single comment I have made, but despite your naïve dismissals, I will point out that in our 2015 general election the Christian leaders produced pamphlets encouraging people to vote for parties that supported immigration, sustainable development, helping people out of poverty, environmental protection, a ban on parental smacking, …

Christianity should not be shackled to one political ideology, and the Right should not be bound to Christianity.

You're sure looking for a "Verbal confrontation," aren't ya? Well, look elsewhere, I'm through with you.

I find it interesting that jgarden has accused old GM of ONLY prepared to discuss The Blame Game if he can hurl insults at others. Yet, I've continually been discussing it with or without and disparaging remarks. Seems like jgarden exaggerates a bit, huh?

Grosnick Marowbe: Your "bias" feelings about Trump are quite noticeable. You have a bad case of "Trump Derangement Syndrome."

No, are you?

Not at all. I just find it curious that you seem to think that whoever is elected is as a result of God's will, whether you happen to agree with the choice of candidate or not. That bears more in common with Calvinistic, sovereign decree than anything. Obama is roundly condemned by the far right as an almost 'antichrist' figure, ridiculous in my opinion and certainly not borne out, but then why would God ordain someone who conservatives despised and considered ill for the country and then place someone like Trump in power?

I know you love and worship Obama but you sure talk a lot about your hero.

I just watched a video where a group of people was standing around the grave of a Confederate General and one of the guys was starting to dig up the corpse and asking for others to help him. The scene was worthy of a Steven King story or an Edgar Allen Poe short story. Is this what America is coming to?
Yes. That's exactly it, what you have to worry about. Americans all across this land travelling as if on pilgrimage to locate and dig up confederate generals. . . it may become more popular than soccer. :plain:

Will we continue to see the destruction of monuments/statues and the desecration of graves of people, long dead?
You know, I almost admire the nerve of that. From speculation to a continued practice in two sentences. Or was that simply the price of an under thought conflation?

You should start a list commemorating the scores of disinterred Confederate generals so we can all ponder it with solemnity, head shaking, and a sense of ineffable loss.

I mean if there's ever an actual instance to report, of course.

Will these "Grave robbers" display the human remains in some MACABRE fashion?
Tune in tomorrow...same bat time, same batty channel.

Obviously, there are a number of "Socialist left-wingers" on TOL. Some aren't even Christian. However, this thread isn't in the "Religion Area" of TOL, so, that really doesn't matter. However, it's interesting that Left-wing Socialist types seem to gravitate towards the Democrat Party and away from Christianity.

That's because they are racists....as the Democratic party has always been.

The last time I checked, I wasn't wearing a swastika and didn't have a "German Cross" pinned to my T-shirt. In other words, myself included, my best friend, and my Sister and Brother In-Law voted for and support Trump 100%. By the way, I'm of German ancestry, as well. Does that make me, Hermann Göring or Martin Boorman?

I'm just pointing out that Donald Trump received the official endorsement of Jew hating racists, i.e. degenerates who without a doubt have this picture hanging somewhere in their white trash trailer:

Like Hitler, evidently they see something in Donald Trump that they admire.

None of us can actually CONTROL who likes or dislikes us, ultimately. Is it Trump's fault that some unsavory type characters happen to like him and voted for him? I would suggest you start using your head for something other than, hitting it against a wall.

Christian references don't suit you, AB. I wonder why? Oh, now I remember.
