The death penalty without due process? And for what?

I'm really not sure how I should address this. "Death penalty"? Did you see a court of law in that store or just a big guy holding stolen goods in one hand and the throat/shirt collar of the store clerk in the other. Look at the size difference in the two people. The clerk's knees are buckling. "And for what?" you asked. I don't know, you tell me. All the clerk wanted was the money for the goods. Wake up. That clerk had a right to defend himself.

Here's a question for THall;
Is it their SOP to point rifles AT peaceful protesters?
What's the ROE for pointing a sniper rifle at a crowd?
Or any weapon for that matter?

Is it their SOP to point rifles AT peaceful protesters?
No an officer should not
point his rifle at a peaceful
human. Poorly trained police
marksman do this when they are
looking through their rifle scopes
to gather intel. This is why snipers
are equipped with both spotting
scopes and range finding binoculars.

We train them to use their binocs to
do a hurried search, and the spotting
scope to do a detailed grid search for
items and activity that have tactical
significance.

What's the ROE for pointing a sniper rifle at a crowd?
Or any weapon for that matter?

This is a safety violation unless
there is a known threat intermingled
with a peaceful crowd. Police snipers
have several types of ammo available
and one of them is very frangible ammo
for hostage rescue and threats trying to
hide in a crowd. They can shoot a perp
without overpenetration and greatly
minimize the risk of collateral damage.

To point a rifle at something you
are not going to shoot is a safety
violation and a violation of the force
continuum ladder and terrible TTP.

Pertaining to the any weapon part,
the less than lethal weapons that are
part of the array generally fall under the
same guidelines, don't point them at something
you do not need to fire at in the near term.

It's not. If he doesn't fall on the first shot, keep shooting. Besides you can only be killed once, so there is no such thing as overkill.

:plain:

I see it differently.

overkill
ˈəʊvəkɪl/
noun
1.
excessive use, treatment, or action.

2.
the amount by which destruction or the capacity for destruction exceeds what is necessary.

They might also hesitate to just murder people in broad daylight in front of another officer.

Since when is self defense murder? Cops have to take more caution than the public. If brown was acting in an aggressive manner, the cop had a right to respond appropriately especially when cops are killed in such large numbers

Sunday Night Brings More Looting And Destruction To Ferguson; National Guard On Its Way

Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2014/08/18/s...ng-and-destruction-to-ferguson/#ixzz3An23HlCb

FERGUSON, Mo. — Another intense night of violence bubbled up on Sunday in Ferguson, Mo. just a few hours after local and national luminaries including Al Sharpton and Martin Luther King III spoke at Greater Grace Church about last week’s police shooting death of unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown.

The violence began around 8 p.m. and largely dissipated within a couple hours, though the police presence in the St. Louis suburb remained at war-like levels into the wee hours of the morning.

Hundreds — perhaps thousands — of protesters roamed West Florissant Avenue.

Looters prowled several blocks of the main thoroughfare, damaging businesses and shattering glass in the few storefronts that had yet remained intact.

The list of businesses on West Florissant that were looted on Sunday night included a Domino’s Pizza, a Papa John’s Pizza, an O’Reilly’s Auto Parts and a Public Storage facility.

Just west, on Chambers Road, a large group of looters trashed a small store called Dellwood Market. The store ended up on fire, according to a Facebook page called Ferguson Scanner Updates.

“I know that people are upset, but is this the justice for Mike Brown?” the distraught owner asked, according to local CBS affiliate KMOV.

In front of Dellwood Market, a huge two-car wreck somehow occurred amid bumper-to-bumper traffic on Chambers. One vehicle was destroyed, the other nearly so. People who witnessed the wreck told The Daily Caller no one was seriously injured.

The vehicles sat blocking traffic for a long time despite the large police presence just a few hundred feet away.

At a press conference that occurred at around 1 a.m. in the heavily-guarded confines of a Target parking lot over a mile away, Missouri State Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson indicated that several protesters threw Molotov cocktails during a march down West Florissant at around 8:30 p.m.

A handful of protesters suffered gunshot wounds and the crowds prevented an ambulance from arriving on the scene.

A large group of people had overrun a McDonald’s on the street. Employees of the McDonald’s were forced to lock themselves in a storage room until police arrived.

Johnson said that these various incidents of violence caused police to disperse tear gas at protesters and shut down several city blocks well before the 12 a.m. curfew that has been in effect for the last few days.

School was cancelled there again today and the national guard is there.

"Protesters" were also shooting at officers last night, throwing Molotov cocktails and shot a woman there who is in critical condition.

Seems to be more about looting and excuses for thieving and violence.

Now Eric Holder isnt happy with the recent autopsy results and wants another done... Obama dispatches Eric Holder to Ferguson in wake of shooting

Over the weekend, Holder ordered the Justice Department -- which is looking into possible civil rights violations in the case -- to arrange for an additional autopsy on Brown's body to be performed by a federal medical examiner

Multiple police agencies were called to Ferguson early Saturday morning following reports of violence.

About 200 protesters clashed with police at the height of the disturbance at the Ferguson Market, where they began looting. Police said they tried to set the store on fire.

The Ferguson Market is believed to be the same store where Michael Brown may have been caught on surveillance video stealing cigarillos shortly before he was shot.

Looters in Ferguson, Mo., were met with little police resistance Friday night and store owners say they were forced to protect their businesses with their own guns, Fox2Now.com reported.

"I think the first message is to remind all law enforcement that they are hired to serve and protect and if they’re going to sit back and watch looting, they're not serving us; they’re not protecting us," Pastor Robert White told the station.

A reporter from the station tweeted that police cars were seen driving past some of the stores being looted and did not respond. It rained in Ferguson Friday night and protesters could be seen outside until 6 a.m.

'Is this justice?' Owner of looted Dellwood Market voices frustration; other stores looted

News 4’s Mike Colombo was at the Dellwood Market early Monday morning and counted 10 bullet holes in the door frame.

Other businesses including a Pappa John's Pizza, a McDonalds, and and an auto parts store were looted.

"Its unfortunate because you know who the individuals are, where they're coming from. I just want to make sure our businesses are protected as much as possible," said Dellwood Mayor Reggie Jones.

Pastor White is dead wrong. We are not all Michael Brown. Not by a long shot. And, if folks are smart they'll stay as far away from that community as they can get and let law enforcement officials do their job.

How Ferguson Businesses Are Dealing with Looting

As reports of looting become more frequent, and police struggle to offer protection, local business owners are boarding up their stores. Some are even closing stores completely. Over the past several days, The Wire called a variety of businesses in the Ferguson area to learn how they were responding. Over half did not answer their phones during regular business hours, and others reported limited hours.

Two of the largest stores in town prepared for looting in advance. Walmart Supercenter shut their doors early this weekend, due to the curfew and as a general precaution. An employee told The Wire, “We are closing our store at 8 p.m. We have boarded up our windows. Eleven p.m. is when we usually when we close, but some departments are closing at six. “ They were unable to specify which departments would close at six, but hinted it may be the electronics division. They also hired extra security to stand outside of their store.

The truth lies somewhere in the abyss between the race-baiting and the cop-hating, regardless of any other situations that appear to have similarities.

Comparing Ferguson/Brown to False Flag events is fallacious (Columbine, Theater, Sandy Hook, etc.).

Comparing this to the Treyvon Martin incident (and others) is fallacious.

Comparing this to all the rampant Police abuse is fallacious.

This stands alone, and the true facts have begun to emerge since the initial sensationalist account with lies and presumption.

The only real question that seems to remain is whether the degree of deadly force utilized in self defense was excessive. I don't know the statutory details in the state of Missouri, but I doubt it will be anything more than a line of duty shooting of an aggressive perpetrator.

But there will be no end to opinions. Having an opinion is now much more important than the content OF that opinion.

It would be interesting to know the actual point of law on the matter instead of all the variance of unfounded and premature opinion.

I've waited until today to even begin formulating any view about the incident, because I'm just rational like that and want to know what the actual facts are apart from any preliminary bias.

Looters force beauty supply store to close

Ferguson, Mo. (KSDK) -- The surreal experience of watching looting and vandalism on live television is exacting a very real price for local businesses in Ferguson. Instead of preparing for a day of business with customers, the owners and employees of a Ferguson beauty supply store are now cleaning up, boarding up and preparing to close, at least temporarily.

Benny Billups does small maintenance repairs for the owners of the Feel Beauty Supply store. He said looters entered by shattering a glass door and ransacked the store. "They tried to get into the cash register, stole hair items and some jewelry, said Billups. "I'm just frustrated because these people are not understanding how this affects others when they come with this foolishness. There was a tragedy, yes, but this not how you deal with a tragedy."

The store had been closed earlier this week following the initial unrest spurred by the death of 18 year old Michael Brown, a black teenager, at the hands of a white police officer. The store reopened Thursday,

The employees on the scene said their jobs at Feel are mostly part time, but are an important part of their income. They say the damage will require the store to close, for now. "I'm crushed," said one store employee. "This is my living! I have to take care of my family. This is not good. It's not fair. People are not looking at this as a positive thing, they're looking at it as a rage, and it's not about raging. Raging gets you nowhere.".....

....Tanya Littleton is the manager of Feel, she said the store will have to shut down. "It's not worth it," said Littleton. "Right now our safety is more important than anything.' Littleton doesn't know if Feel Beauty Supply will ever open again. She says the owners are scared for their lives and simply want out.

EVERY looter and vandal is exponentially worse than the officer OR Michael Brown.

I wonder if someone could make a valid observational racIAL statement without it erroneously being hyped up as a racIST statement. There IS a difference, even if it's disappeared in the melting pot of political correctness that is plaguing the world.

Video: Looters shoot their way into Ferguson store

It begins with a group of fifteen to twenty people gathered outside, throwing items at the glass windows and doors, trying to break in. When they are unsuccessful, the video shows at least two men moving to the front of the group and opening fire with handguns.

Switching to a camera inside, the crowd manages to push through, and people start pouring inside. A large number of them immediately head behind the counter, grabbing cigarettes and liquor.

This all began just minutes after the owner’s son had closed the store and left at 10pm. Owner Muntaz Lalani had received the call from the alarm company and was able to watch the video live online. He was horrified by what he saw.

It is a little late for that, but please don't let reality mess up your delusions.
Yeah, IMJ, what's wrong with you, calling for people to back up and let law enforcement do it's job. You must be delusional. Because everyone knows it's too late. Way too late. There isn't even a clock that will show how late it is there. You can forget curfew. It's wear the same clothes and comb your hair with your fingers time because it's just that late.

Maybe if you went to squat SWAT school you'd know that. BAM. Broke your watch.

Looting

Nice posts, that should
about cover the
retard/coward/lawyer
who speaks nothing of
the "compact" police
have with their communities
to serve and protect. But openly
claims the compact demands
homosexuality be legal.

The officers claiming they
can't arrest the looters they
are watching loot, because
Missouri Highway Patrol is
"in command" and ordered
them to "stand down".
As if an officer needs a direct
order from Central command
to arrest a criminal if he witnesses
a crime in progress. Inside
Missouri's borders, his class
1 commission allows him to effect
an arrest for any crime personally
witnessed, even when out of his
department's jurisdiction.
