"The Conservative Treehouse"?! Uh, pass. Frankly, ffreeloader, you seem more interested in inventing your own narrative rather than what's actually under discussion and your sources are bonkers. You buy into it all you want, one of your "credible" links to me was a holocaust denier. No time for that garbage.

Just who is a holocaust denier? I'm certainly not. You still haven't condemned ABC for reporting a flat out lie about fighting in Syria. Their video was actually taken at a gun club demonstration in Kentucky, yet they claimed the video was evidence of fighting in Syria caused by Trump moving troops from Syria to Iraq.

It's your sources that are bonkers and proven liars. But, you can keep on being a denier. It's your modus operandi.

You're the king of revision. Since, Lon failed at the reconciling of Jesus' quote, are you up to the spin-doctoring task?

.....Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’" (Deut 15:7-11)

Contrary to Lon's assertion one doesn't need be a Bible scholar to follow the man's words.

How do you dodge them?

give me Jesus' quote and we'll discuss it

I have never before heard of this aspect of PCR. So, I read a couple of his articles on the subject. Some of it I agree with. Some of it I don't. As I've read a few hundred books on WWII and it's aftermath I have a pretty good understanding of what all went on. I agree with PCR's condemnation of the Nuremberg trials. There was a lot of pre-determination going on there, and a lot of propaganda made out of those trials. Most of the things Karl Donitz was convicted of were not illegal during the war. They were laws enacted later and then retroactively enforced. That isn't justice. Anyone can be made into a criminal that way and several of those executed at Nuremberg were convicted the same way Donitz was. PCRs criticisms of Roosevelt and Churchill were pretty much right on the money. Both guys did some very questionable things during WWII. I say that being a fan of Churchill. I am not a fan or Roosevelt. I've read way too much US history to like the man at all.

The allies did far worse things in that war than Donitz did. The fire bombing of Dresden and other German cities were brutal and barbaric. Those attacks killed a lot of civilians and had no real strategic value. Yet Germans who did far less along those lines were convicted and hung.

I definitely disagree with his stance on the death camps. There are way too many survivors who know what happened. But, I would not consider him a holocaust denier as he says millions of Jews died. He just attributes the death to different causes. And I disagree with him on Hitler's knowledge of what was going on. But, that doesn't mean everything he says is loony. He's good at a lot of things. He has a lot of knowledge as to how things work behind the scenes in US government as he's spent a fair amount of time in that role.

As to what he says in the USA watchdog interview there is a lot of evidence to support what he says. You will reject it out of hand because you're so indoctrinated your head starts to explode when you read things you disagree with. Instead of researching the questions you take what the media and Democrats say at face value. Yet you think you're pretty skeptical of politicians. I ask you how you come to that conclusion when you refuse to study up on one entire side of the political spectrum and just take them at their word. I find that incredibly naive. Politicians are dishonest and self-serving. Anyone who denies that is living in a fantasy world. That you think one side has all the bad guys and the other side is basically pure as the driven snow is just mind blowing to me. It's like you look at them as some kind of gods that are incapable of being deceitful and manipulative.

Wow, well that was a load of presumptive word salad, pretty much what I've come to expect really. Get this ffreeloader, I am cynical all ends up where it comes to politics, politicians etc from whatever "side of the aisle" so spare me your patronising ignorance. If you post a link to someone who denies that the holocaust happened then that ain't getting taken seriously and nor is the guy who comes up with such crap.

Okay?

Jolly good!

Of course taxes are high, but they get what they pay for: Nordic Countries Continue To Rank High In Happiness, While America Falls

from your link:
Finland, Norway, and Denmark were recently ranked the world’s three happiest countries. This may not come as a surprise, since they've been dancing around at the top of the list for a while now, along with Switzerland.

Finland, Norway, Denmark and Switzerland

four small ethnically homogenous (ie. white) countries as compared to the melting pot of the world with ethnic diversity found nowhere else and a significantly younger population

I'd love to see the survey results for the US parsed by ethnic identification and age

as well, i'd love to see the survey results for other fully socialist countries, such as North Korea and Venezuela and Cuba

I could care less.

yes, we realize that you don't mind asking retarded questions

tell me Quip, what did Steinbeck say in chapter three of Moby Dick? :dizzy:
Deal with the scripture at hand.

The one that is NOT quoting Jesus?

sure - I'll quote the whole chapter:

Deuteronomy 15 King James Version (KJV)

15 At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release.

2 And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord's release.

3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;

4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:

5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.

6 For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

12 And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.

13 And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:

14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the Lord thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.

15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;

17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.

18 It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.

19 All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.

20 Thou shalt eat it before the Lord thy God year by year in the place which the Lord shall choose, thou and thy household.

21 And if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the Lord thy God.

22 Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the clean person shall eat it alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart.

23 Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.

Deut 15 is part of God's commands to the Hebrews regarding how they should treat each other, as God's Chosen People

15:3 shows that non-Hebrews (foreigners) are to be treated differently

Good. Now what's your personal take on it? Is it similar to Lon's?
