Why would the Father be lower than the angels?

What are you referring to, Jamie?

If it is Psalm 8, as I expect, that verse is about man in general, and the best manuscripts say a little lower than Elohim (God)

Jesus is not the Father. Jesus is the Son of the Father. You have no scripture to say differently.

Matthew 3:17
King James Version (KJV)

17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Is it true or is it false.

Humans are flesh and have a spirit that gives life to their body. We are our spirit. Jesus' Spirit is the Spirit of His Father.

God the Father came as a man in the flesh.

Why would the Father be lower than the angels?

There are three. God the Father is Spirit and invisible and lives in unapproachable light; He also came as a Son in the flesh; and, His Spirit goes forth without limit, and even is Him and lives n the saved.

I'm referring to Jesus.

"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels..." (Hebrews 2:9)

Thanks for clarifying.

I think your point is that it is difficult to consider that God the Father could ever be made a little lower than the angels. I agree. This is why “God is Jesus” struck me wrong.

Anyone else have discomfort with the statement “God is Jesus.”
Yes. Because I would always expect that the conversation from that point would have to go into the Trinity teaching, so I'd be more comfortable being upfront about that, instead of have it look like I tried to trick someone. "Jesus is God, and the Son is Jesus, and the Father is God, and the Holy Spirit is God." I'd get :AMR: back looking at me, but that would be more comfortable to say than "God is Jesus," without qualification.

Are you equally comfortable with the two sentences below:
1) Jesus is God
2) God is Jesus
?

One Spirit revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

You can use the word three 'titles' if you would like.

You are three are you not? Are you a human, a father, and a son? Would you like to say three 'titles'?

The one entity known the three titles “human,” “father,” and “son” is certainly one.

But there is a flaw in the analogy, I think.

The human knows everything the father knows, and the son knows everything the father and human know.

Yet Jesus said there was something He did not know that the Father did know.

And the human is not greater than the father who is not greater than the son, yet Jesus said the Father was greater than He.

2) God is Jesus

Thanks.

I think my source of discomfort with “God is Jesus”is that the name God may be, for lack of better terms, “more inclusive” or “broader” than the name Jesus.

Could we say that Jesus is the mirror in which we see the Father?
