Good Eats is the best. He explains why you do certain things when your cooking and what is going on. Once you know that, you can see how to make your other recipes better. Besides, he's entertaining.

I voted Everyday Italian, because I love the show and Giada is my next wife :D But in truth I have three that are hard to choose between, Everyday Italian, Molto Mario (Mario is my favorite person on the network) and Dinners Drive Ins and Dives is also very good.

Did you forget Rachel Ray, or is 30 Minute Meals her show?
Yes, that's her show. One of them, anyway.

I don't have cable right now, but when I can watch it, Good Eats is the most entertaining, certainly. But I like Rachel Ray, too.

Good Eats... Alton Brown brings the science of cooking into the normal person's home. As a chemistry and biology major in college, I eat up, pun intended, all of the science references he uses. Surprisingly, he's spot on in his descriptions. I hear he's a pretty good Christian to boot! AND, get this, he likes Macs! Now that's my kinda guy.
