Cruz Signed Pledge But Now Opposes Personhood Laws

This is the show from Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016

SUMMARY:

Every four years Bob Enyart Live loses friends over warning listeners about certain Republican candidates. Coming up on our 25th anniversary we've had six election cycles and we've lost friends over George H.W. Bush in 1992, Bob Dole in 1996, George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004, John McCain in 2008, and Mitt Romney in 2012. So with democracy being the most divisive of all political systems, how many friends might BEL lost over Ted Cruz' candidacy, with him signing the personhood pledge in 2015 and already in 2016 saying that he opposes personhood legislation? Etc. And btw, we've reached $600 of our $30,000 February telethon goal, so thank you to everyone who has given, and please help if you possibly can, by calling us at 800-8Enyart or by clicking on Donate at www.kgov.com!

Many who calls themselves "conservative" just love the federal government (i.e. wanting federal legislation to be the answer to every problem), but what seems to have slipped their minds is that federal legislation got the US into the sad state that it's currently in (Roe v Wade, Lawrence v Texas, Obergefell v Hodges). Consider Ted Cruz as your seeing eye dog to help get us out of it.

:rotfl: Another day, another aCW flip flop

His Ted Cruz man crush has him cross eyed

So there's this Libertarian Party voter who walks into a thread about the pro life movement:

LIBERTARIAN PARTY PLATFORM

As adopted in Convention, June 2014, Columbus, Ohio

1.5 Abortion

Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration.

Regarding other federal rulings that a President Ted Cruz would undoubtedly fight to overturn:

I just bet that you're just screaming with glee over the Lawrence v Texas and Obergefell v Hodges SCOTUS rulings.

Versus

It was a federal ruling that made abortion legal, it will take a federal law (amendment) to stop it

You are debating yourself again.

The only remaining questions are which way the wind will blow tomorrow and how will your next man crush view the issue.

A change of war strategy, not a change of morals Aaron.

Speaking of morals: I just love it when you tell the story of how you voted for the baby murdering-sodomite loving-dope pushing-pornography pushing, prostitution loving Libertarian Party, yet still call yourself "pro life".

Tell us again how that works Aaron, as I just love a good...ahem...fairy
tale.

In the show, Bob states that a reporter asked Ted, around the time of Iowa, whether or not he supported personhood legislation. Bob quotes Ted as having said he opposes personhood legislation.

Is there a link to this interview anywhere?

Bob is the only one I can find making this claim...

And yet left wing loonies are trying to accuse him of banning birth control...

Ted Cruz, campaigning in South Carolina and appealing to the most extreme of the forced birth people, put out a video enthusiastically supporting so-called personhood amendments, anti-choice measures so extreme that they haven’t even been able to pass in states like Mississippi.

I think there was more to that clip than we were shown.

sure there is audio...Is your volume on?

All I hear is piano music. I want to hear Ted Cruz say that personhood is pointless.

Also, let it be known that he does not have my vote, Tom Hoefling does. I'm just gathering resources.
