Why is one blessed to whom the Lord will not impute sin ? The word blessed is the word makarios:

happy, blessed, to be envied. The AMP translation reads:

Blessed and happy and favored is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account nor charge against him.”

One reason why that person or persons are blessed as to why God the Lord will not impute sin unto them is because their sins have been imputed to Christ. Even the Blessed David in his realization of this blessedness Ps 32:2

2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

David looked to Christ, the coming Messiah. For theirs no other way why God would not impute sins or iniquity unto a person !

Such ones shall not ever come into condemnation !

They are blessed, made happy and highly favored, and to be envied because not only has Christ died for them, but they have forgiveness of sins ! Ps 321-2

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Rom 4:7-8

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Here Paul has the plural "iniquities are forgiven" Thats all trespasses Col 2:13

And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

BTW this forgiveness is a Covenant Blessing Heb 8:12

12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

The only ones that are going to be saved are those that have committed their salvation to the saving work of Jesus Christ. You are not one of them. You are trusting in predestination and Calvinism and are under the judgment of God.

According to you, salvation depends solely upon the action / works a person does.

You are a false witness, preaching a false gospel according to the works a person does, that the apostle Paul warned the Brethren In Christ about Gal. 1:8-9 !

The blessed ones God does not impute sin to, they have Christ righteousness imputed to them without works. Rom4:6-8

Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

You can read the verse. Gather the doctrine. Repeat the verse and convey the doctrine, but you can't give a demonstrable account of the effects, because you don't think effects occur.

TY and Amen to parts 1 thru 3 !

No sin was ever imputed / laid to the account of these Blessed Ones Ps. 32:1-2; Rom. 4:7-8, because according to God's Eternal Purpose which He Purposed in Christ Eph. 3:11, they were charged to Him, their Covenant Head and Surety Heb. 7:22; Rev. 13:8, and His Righteousness imputed to them from Everlasting; being Chosen of the Father In Union with Him to have forgiveness / remission of sins according to the riches of His Grace Eph. 1:4-7. So there's zero possibility that they could ever come under any condemnation Rom. 8:1.

The OT established the idea of one's sins being imputed to an animal sacrifice.
This also establishes the idea that sin cannot just be ignored.

In the NT we see clearly that our sin is imputed to Christ, and Christ's righteousness is imputed to us.

Yes it is wonderful that God lets things like our sins, go.

Hi, now who are the our and us ?

I said
The only one that God doesn't impute sin to is the one who is submitting to the Holy Spirit.

[Rom 8:1-3
1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God [did] by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,

Hi, now who are the our and us ?

The "our" and "us" are Jesus friends. The rest are still in their sins.

Don't we all have family and friends who's faults and shortcomings we "wink at" or ignore, simply because we want to maintain a lasting relationship with them. Outsiders, we don't have to be so tolerant with, and may call them to account for their sins against us.

"In Christ" means "friend of Jesus".
