Yes, and Gal 5 has an even more striking way of saying this: 'about (the fruit) you don't make laws.' Are we hearing that? The effect of the Gospel is such a dynamic, living thing that God moves our heart to acts of love, care, kindness; we don't consult a book of laws first to see what to do. Ie, 'you don't do the fruit of the Spirit the way you would 'do' a law of God.'
