500,000 plus Americans are homeless

Perhaps you spent 8 years not reading the MSM articles. I found a number of CNN articles from when Obama was president about the homeless with little ease. One of Michelle Obama’s regular efforts was to call attention to homeless vets.

You might be noticing it more because the right is doing what they can to impoverish more. Embarrassing them over not renewing the CHIP program seems to be working. You have to call these guys out who don’t believe in helping the underprivileged especially vets, and children. Trump has talked about “helping” those who are addicted to opioids which big pharm did a lot to create, but when it comes to helping those parts of society he turns a blind eye. He is famous for bragging about his charity and then never follows through. It is like those people Jesus condemn who make much ado in public.

I don't know anything about politics, but do you think Hilary is better than Trump as a leader of this country?

Trump said it was really 40-50 percent under Obama disagreeing with the labor stats. Now he believes the 4% labor stats. Do you believe that now?

There at two different measurments of unemployment.

One is the one that Obama liked, the one which counted those on unemployment.

The other is the one which counted those out of work. Whose unemployment benefits ran out.

The number out of work and not finding a job is far larger than those on unemployment.

In either case, God is able and willing to provide jobs for any and all who believe Him and His promises.

It takes work to find work

Jobs are not handouts.

A bill languishes to help vulnerable pregnant women and children that is even sponsored by Republicans

https://emmer.house.gov/media-cente...n-ensure-care-vulnerable-mothers-and-children

November 16, 2017 Press Release
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) introduced legislation to provide a fix for Minnesota’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) funding and provide more flexibility for the state.

On November 3, the House adopted the CHAMPIONING HEALTHY KIDS Act, H.R. 3922, to reauthorize the CHIP program for five years. Minnesota is one of two states that faces a fine after expending all of its CHIP funding and requiring alternative funding to get through November 30. Minnesota has opted to carry-over funds in order to ensure that pregnant women currently receiving CHIP coverage will continue to receive health care for the entirety of their nine-month pregnancy. Unfortunately, current law penalizes state foresight and flexibility, and instead imposes a fine on any state who utilizes carry-over funds.

This legislative fix would eliminate the fine and effectively save the state of Minnesota approximately $10 million.

“Because of lack of action by the Senate, Minnesota has already been forced to find alternative funding in order to continue coverage for CHIP recipients,” said Emmer. “What’s even worse, despite the state’s efforts to ensure we do not leave pregnant women in the lurch, Minnesota will be penalized. I am proud to introduce legislation to allow Minnesota more flexibility to continue providing coverage for children and pregnant mothers while we wait for the Senate to pass legislation reauthorizing CHIP.”

The State CHIP Flexibility Act is H.R. 4404. Rep. Collin Peterson (MN-07), Rep. Erik Paulsen (MN-03) and Rep. Jason Lewis (MN-02) are original cosponsors of the legislation.

Appears I am wrong about CHIP and Congress being embarrassed. The House passed the CHIP renewal HR 3922 bill, but the Senate has taken no action.

They are more pressing needs like Trickle-Up economics.

Artificial intelligence will replace half of all jobs in the next decade, says widely followed technologist
https://www.cnbc.com/2017/04/27/kai-fu-lee-robots-will-replace-half-of-all-jobs.html

It takes work to keep a job.

Who will build those machines?

Who will program those machines?

Who will maintain those machines?

Who will clean up after those machines?

Who will move those machines?

Who will sell those machines?

Did having a dough mixing machine put bakers out of work?

Maybe, but it also made the work more efficient.

Do you want to make your own bread? or would you rather pay 2, 3, 5 times the current cost for a loaf of bread because you are afraid of dough mixing machines?

Are you willing to give up your automobile so that society doesn't have to deal with machines?

Electricity powers those robots you fear, are you willing to give up electricity so that you can go back to living in caves and huts?

Is an axe and a knife and a cooking pot something to fear? Did people fear a cooking pot when they were invented?

Did they fear that making fire would take over the job of trying to find a fire?

Your fears are ridiculous.

You sure are willing to be generous with other people's money!

What are you willing to give to help the homeless?

Not your problem is it, if it is up to you to do something?

Why do you violate the truth?

Thou shalt not steal. Why do you wish to steal from others?

To give to the homeless? It is still stealing

Why do you covet your neighbor's goods?

Why not be happy with what you have to give.

Ephesians 4:28

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Do you have a job, if so, then give to them that need.

If you do not have a job, believe God to supply your need so that you can give.

That is the gospel.

Even under the law, all were required to tithe, ie, give ten percent, whether rich or poor, there was no graduated "tithe" a tithe means ten percent.

That is called equality and that is fair to all.

Why do you wish to steal from those who earn more than you?

If people are able to work but do not, neither should they eat.

That is the gospel

Why do you lie? Taxes and stealing are not the same and you know it.

Did Jesus say to pay taxes or not? Did Jesus say taxes was stealing?

The gospel is not capitalism. The gospel is while you were yet a sinner Jesus died that you might live. Period. End of sentence. You have added to the gospel and bought right wing koolaid.
Again, the wealthy love your kind of thinking. They paid for it and you are giving them excellent return.

No, I think we were doomed either way just in different ways. Hopefully all these sex scandals and colusion investigations will clean house. We really need term limits.

Was it stealing when Trump filed for 6 bankruptcies? One of them was almost 1 billion dollars. He didn’t have to pay anything and the taxpayer and his unfortunate contractors have to foot the bill.

Neither of those numbers passes the eye test, though I suspect that the eye test is not very accurate.

No ... I don't believe that there was anyone running who I would consider "righteous". It's comes down to which is more dangerous ... having a cold or contracting the ebola virus. Trump is the latter.

I don't know what is fact and truth about media information.

That's why I don't get involved with politics besides Jesus says His followers are not of the world.

Trump does not seem godly with all those pretty women he got married.

He's not ... and btw, this is the LEAST of his shortcomings. Trump's "salvation" claims began around the time he started to seriously consider running for POTUS. Insofar as the topic of this discussion, Trump is no friend to the weak, elderly or poor.

And of course he hasn’t done anything requiring God’s forgiveness. Jesus didn’t need to die for the Don.

Again, the wealthy love your kind of thinking. They paid for it and you are giving them excellent return.

Actually, since I did not give my consent, it maybe stealing. After all, if someone takes your wealth without your consent or due process, isn't that what a robber or thief does?

Do you support paying taxes for abortion clinics? I don't.

Do you support paying taxes for wars we have no business being in? I don't.

Do support paying taxes to pay Iran to develop nuclear weapons? I don't.

Do you support paying taxes for the NEA, NPR and other socialist programming? I don't

Given a choice would you refuse to pay for those things?

I would.

Actually, you don't have a choice do you? If you don't you may be imprisoned. For what?

I do not have a problem with paying some taxes for things that I agree with, but we could and should dispose of about 3/4 of the Federal government.

Leave it to the states to deal with its own issues. After all, this is the United States of America, not the lazy, bloated, obese Federal government of America

Jesus Christ said to render to Caesar what is Caesars and to God the things which are God's.

That is what he said.

Do you render unto God what is God's? Do you tithe and give of your abundance of your gross income? Why not? Because you will never see what the government takes away. You can only give of what you have, not what you don't have.

The gospels also states in Romans 13, "owe no man anything but to love one another"

Are you in debt? then you are disobeying the gospel.

Every Christian who is in debt is disobeying the gospel.

Who is your God? the God and Father of the lord Jesus the anointed or the government?

Who should you be sure to render unto first and foremost?

Love God will all your heart.....

Not love the government.

The gospel is capitalism. You are to steward what God has given to you and you should be making a profit off of it.

Remember Jesus' parable about the master who entrusted three servants with some of his wealth?

He rebuked the one who did not make any profit for the master calling him a wicked and slothful servant.

Matthew 25
14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.

19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

If you are not being profitable, you are wicked and slothful.

For me Hillary had 30 years of a methodical smear campaign from the right and with a Republican Congress she would have been ineffective. And the right would delight because just mentioning her name opens the wallets of every right wing supporter. The sex scandals wouldn’t have gotten the traction it has now will Bill being first man. Now there’s Trump. I think he will be the forever be the embarrassment of the right exposing them to who they really are.
