of can equal: belong to, from, through, about,

Try 'all of a sudden.' Which one is it there?

But like I said, that was before finding out that Greek has separate SPELLINGS for each one.

"Of" is OK, as long as the cases are not blurred, which you are doing.

It is the simplest way to expression possession without identifying as equal. That was the intention. The gospel belongs to it, but is not the same as it. It is not a kingdom being offered to israel as they knew because of the whole zealot problem.

If a Roman officer had thought for one minute that Jesus followers were offered an Israeli Kingdom, they would all have been put to the sword for sedition, as were many zealots who did.

You need to know the historical stage and you do not because it is too easy to click on cartoons and mock me.

As mentioned over in the next example of diagramming (in that thread) "to" is the best trans for Gal 2:7 when indicating how to relate evangelizing and (groups A & B).

No it isn't.

'akrobustia' and 'peritomes' are DOs, Musterion. The person speaking the Gospel would speak to them.

The parallel in the next verse supports this. Peter is not an apostle of (doing) circumcisions. Rather he is an apostle to them. Paul is not an apostle of (doing) Gentiles. To them. How, anyway, would you "do" Gentiles?

Get your facts straight.

:chuckle:

IP knows "the Greek" better than a team of KJB translators. Sure.

A chuckle back at ya, bro.

As to your understanding of the KJV Translators' Early Modern English (EME).

As in your take from Romans 1:11's EME word "establish" that the Romans were not in the Body, at the time of Paul's writing them :chuckle:

The angel who appeared to Joseph said concerning Jesus, "...thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins," Matthew 1:21. Jesus never made a mistake of converting a soul and leaving it under the power of sin. Those who are converted cease to wilfully sin, ie to break God's commandments since sin is defined as "the transgression of the law" - 1John 3:4. The children of God are not saved by their obedience but rather the obedience is the fruit of their new life. Our fruits are our words and deeds.

Jesus saves all from their sins, if they come to him with living faith.

All who go through Jesus are saved from their sins and become a child of God.

Nothing could be more clear in Gal 2 than the fact that it is paralleled by the next verse. Peter didn't do circs and Paul didn't do Gentiles.

Grammar fact:
'the car of George' does not mean George is a car!

Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 11:2 And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him, 11:3 Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

And...
