Anyways, when Paul said that Andronicus and Junia were "in Christ" before he was, it means Andronicus and Junia were in the Body of Christ BEFORE Paul was.

"The Body of Christ" is nothing more than a metaphor, the same way the building metaphor is used in Ephesians 2.

GM, it does help a little not to say that the 'faith in...' is part of it. As you know, there are two responses. So the response is not part of the good news. The Gospel is the historic truth of what God accomplished in Christ. Because that is so unique and distinct, you won't have to bother with a list of human things that it is not.

Kinda cool how Paul likened the Thessalonians to becoming followers of the churches of God in Judaea because they were persecuted by their fellow countrymen for turning from their false idols to the Gospel of God.
Same as the Judaeans were persecuted by the Jews who had the full wrath of God on them telling them they couldn't preach to the Gentiles.
We see that Paul preached the testimony God gave of his son according to scripture.
Paul preached the Gospel of God which includes Christ's DBR he didn't just throw Christ out there into thin air and hope it stuck. :1Way:
