ECT The "other" Gospel is not very good news

That's those other gospels for you! There were two! One that was great news and one that bludgeoned people with doubt and complication.

Both were good news:

1. Gospel of circumcision-> follow the Apostles' doctrine, the LORD will return, resurrect you, and plant you in the New Jerusalem as a King and Priest.

2. Gospel of uncircumcision-> follow Paul's doctrine, rest in the fact that you're already seated in Christ in heavenly places.

So it was not "good news" to the Jews when it was preached to them that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God?

It was not 'good news" to them, especially considering the fact that those who believed that fact were given spiritual life when they were born of God (jn.20:30-31;1 Jn.1:1-5)?

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Eventually everyone in Christ ends up in New Jerusalem which is on the "new earth".

I'd say it was significant.
