Did Joseph build the first pyramid?

I've heard that Imhotep was Joseph's Egyptian name.
Stepped Pyramid of Djoser was actually a giant grain
storage and distribution facility. The 7 years of
plenty would have been stored there and sold later.

Correct!

According to history the architect of the first pyramid, the stepped pyramid at Saqqara, was built by the architect Imhotep who was the Egyptian chancellor to the pharaoh Djoser at that time and there is strong evidence that Imhotep was also none other than the Biblical Joseph because of the following related facts:

1. An Upper Egyptian Famine Stela, which dates from the Ptolemaic period (305–30 BC), bears an inscription containing a legend about a dream Pharaoh had about a drought and how God spoke to him promising to end it. It also explains about a famine lasting seven years during the reign of Djoser and how Imhotep is credited with having been instrumental in ending it.

2. Huge grain silos built at the time of the step pyramid still exist to this day at this location: https://josephandisraelinegypt.wordpress.com/

3. He was one of only two commoners ever to be deified after death. The centre of his cult was in Memphis. The location of Imhotep's self-built tomb was well hidden and it remains unknown, despite efforts to find it. (Joseph's bone were taken back to Canaan).

These facts, besides others, would place the building of the stepped pyramid in 17th century BC according to Biblical chronogy and would leave plenty of time for all the events described in the Bible, from the flood till then, to take place.
