A message on your profile page? If so, you can go directly to the other persons's page and respond there, or click on "view conversation" and post from your page.
I don't remember if you can send private messages before you've hit your 50 posts/two weeks mark. Maybe someone else can tell you that.

That may be one of the things for which you have to wait 50 posts and two weeks. Hang in there.

You need 50 posts and 14 days here to the best of my recollection. Have you read all of the links Knight posted in the stickies at the head of this forum? You might find those helpful. Lots of folks find it humorous to send messages when they know a newbie can't answer them. It's like a hazing of sorts. Just enjoy the threads and post according to the rules. All good things come in time as I was once told. Welcome to TOL! :wave:
