Let God Be the Expert

When people want to know what is true, they consult the experts.

An archaeologist makes a new discovery confirming what the Bible says. Does this encourage you? Why?

How many validations from experts does it take for you to believe? How many refutations by other experts does it take for you to disbelieve?

If you had believed the Bible before the new discovery, you would have been right. The experts would have scoffed at you thinking there was no proof, but you would have been justified in the end because the Bible is true.

How do you know the Bible is true? It is written by the expert on truth: God. God is true.

Why do you think the Bible is mistaken? Do the experts tell you this?

How do you know the experts of the world are true? They don't claim to be experts on truth. They often contradict each other, and are often wrong. Though their discovery affirms the Bible, if you asked them about the Bible most would disbelieve it.

"There are many things in the Bible that remain unverified and unbelievable", so say the experts.

Why do people believe the word of experts? They let them be the expert. They believe the expert is the final word, the ultimate authority, on a subject.

Expert validation is not required for Bible belief. Bible belief has everything to do with letting God be true. God is the expert. He is never wrong.

Believe the Bible now. Believe the Bible first, before the experts give their sanctified opinions and rob you of all faith in God.

Let God be the expert in all things. All other experts must submit to His expertise. All other expert findings must submit to His true words.

This is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom.

For His glory,

Justin "not the expert" Johnson
Pentecost Not the Beginning of the Mystery Church

The church as Paul described it was a great mystery kept secret from the prophets. What happened at Pentecost was the fulfillment of what the prophets had written. What was kept secret cannot be what was prophesied.

Follow Paul

Why ought you follow the pattern the Lord provided through the apostle Paul?
The Lord Jesus Christ sent Paul (Acts 9:15).
God commanded it (1 Tim 1:1; 1 Tim 1:16).
God made him your apostle (Rom 11:13).
God gave him the gospel of the uncircumcision (Gal 2:7-8).
If you are saved, it is by his gospel of Christ (Rom 16:25; 1 Cor 15:1-4).
Peter gave Paul exclusive rights of ministry to the uncircumcised (Gal 2:9).
Peter deferred to Paul in matters of what the Lord was doing now (2 Pet 3:15).
Paul instructs it (1 Cor 11:1; Phil 3:17).
A failure to follow Paul's pattern...
... diminishes the preaching of the cross for salvation.
... exchanges the power of resurrection for will power.
... robs your spiritual riches in Christ Jesus.
... perpetuates ignorance of God's will for today.
... weakens the body of Christ by putting the church under the law, identified with Israel, in conditional standing with God.
No wonder Paul spent so much time in his epistles declaring his special apostleship.

"Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me."
- 1 Corinthians 4:16

For His glory,

Justin "I follow Paul" Johnson

Why Preaching Peter Makes Us All Liars

If you think our pattern begins at Pentecost, then why don’t you ever hear Peter’s sermon at Pentecost repeated in its entirety from pulpits today? Perhaps it is because repeating Peter’s Pentecostal message in its entirety would make us all liars.

THE GOSPEL THAT SAVES

"I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved ... that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

- 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJB)

Use the Gospel to Explain
Right Division

"No intelligent student of the Scriptures believes, or teaches, that there is only one gospel in the Scriptures; but all such students should agree that there is only one gospel by which sinners are saved in this day of grace, the gospel of the grace of God, which is called in Ephesians 1:13, 'the gospel of your salvation.' No one has ever been saved except on the grounds of the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ." - J.C. O'Hair. Unsearchable Riches of Christ. p 131.

1. Salvation is only on the basis of the death, blood, and resurrection of Christ.
2. This is the only gospel that saves today.
3. There is more than one gospel in the Bible.

This is the beginning of right division.

A failure to rightly divide is a sign that a person misunderstands one of these gospel statements. Rejecting any of the three statements will confuse the scripture, and most likely confuse the gospel.

Statement 1 and 2 are needed to be saved. Statement 3 is needed to make sense of the Bible. You can't find the 'gospel of your salvation' (statement 1) anywhere other than Paul's epistles in the Bible.

When explaining to someone how to rightly divide the scripture, start with the gospel that saves. You may discover that therein is the problem.

If they understand the gospel of Christ, they can identify what it is not (Deu 6:5; Matt 3:2; John 3:16; Acts 2:38). If they can't tell the difference go back to steps 1 and 2.

Right division is a tool to preach the gospel clearly. Our mission is gospel clarity. This results in souls saved.

For His glory,

Justin "gospel centered" Johnson

Baptism and Manifesting
Christ to Israel

Why did John the Baptist water baptize in the wilderness of Judaea? Was it a church ordinance? A picture of the death, burial, and resurrection? When we let the scriptures speak, we learn that water baptism made Christ manifest to Israel.

The End of the World

I have survived the end of the world many times.

All the glory goes to God and the Lord Jesus Christ who through the mystery of the gospel gave himself for my sins (Gal 1:4) and has saved me from the wrath to come (Rom 5:9).

Understanding the right division between the Prophecy of Christ and the Mystery of Christ is essential to understand end of the world events in the Bible.

A failure to rightly divide is the cause of the multitude of interpretations and confusion regarding the end times, the rapture, the tribulation, and the millennium.

We spent seven weeks during the time of blood moons, Jewish feast days, and miscalculations to study the end of the world from a mid-Acts Pauline dispensational perspective.

You can find the entire End of the World series online here.

If you don't know what it means to rightly divide, you should listen to this series on How to Rightly Divide first.

Here is what you need to know to prepare.

And remember...

"...God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." - 2 Timothy 1:7

Christians and Halloween

Halloween is a Christian holiday. Though its origins are pagan, Halloween persists because cultural Christians allow it through tradition, participation, and religious observance.

There are differences in "salvation" as well as "grace".

Noah was "saved" from the flood, but that salvation was not the salvation of eternal life.

And folks received "grace", but not the grace of eternal life.
Jacob was chosen over his twin brother Esau (without any merit on their part). So that was grace, but not grace of eternal life.

Good study, though.

Then why was Noah still alive in Abe's bosom?

Why? The Hebrews 11 Principle:

13. These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and
pilgrims on the earth.

The different dispensations, madists, all have laws to which the people of God (the saved) are or were commanded to obey. Noah couldn't eat animals before the Noahic covenant. It was not optional for Noah.

Cain could not neglect the blood sacrafice, it was not optional.

David could not eat what Noah could - not optional

Peter could eat what Noah could - optional

Here's the problem pj, the mosaic covenant, the dispensation of law was added to the Abe cov. Why?

To show us the inability to lead a sanctified growing grown up relationship with God due to the pervasiveness of sin in our members.

Also God gave the mosaic law to make an increase of sins (because of the flesh) to lead the believer to conclude that he/she was completely powerless to be a keeper of the 613 commands (not just 10) and thus lead him/her to the Messiah.

Knowing the purposes of the mosaic cov will result in knowing as King David knew, that the believer will always be saved by grace by the mercies of God.

Therefore brother pj, I conclude that in every dispensation the believers were regenerated (born again) by grace thru faith (not in what our new test faith requires) in what God revealed to humanity up to that believers time and in his dispensation. For David his content of faith included the Abe , land and Davidic covs as well as the mosaic law or mosaic cov. This is why David could say blessed is the one who's transgressions are not held against them while at the same time saying that the 613 laws of Moses were his delight and daily meditation

Madists and Calvinists fail to see the obvious truth that the law of Moses, the mosaic dispensation was a curve ball thrown in by God for Gods purpose of augmenting sinful flesh.

Paul reveals this in his writings. To fall from grace means to try and live one's life by the law in order to reach maturity or in order to self sanctify their selves.

That is why they must place 1 Jn 1:9 as written to unbelievers instead of to believers. We confess our daily sins, we get restored daily and we win in the spiritual warfare because the law of Moses is not part of our daily requirements

The laws of Christ which number in the hundreds are our laws today but we have put on Christ. We daily confess and are more than conquerors they Him. The laws of Christ are commandments and not options yet just like the previous dispensation's laws were never a means of salvation or sanctification, the laws of Christ are what the previous dispensation's law were. The rule of life for the already born again, regenerated saved people of God.

Now, pass the sausage

I can agree with nearly all of that except confessing daily. Confess to the God that knows our hearts and thoughts ? We sin without knowing, we can't possibly confess, we can be more aware.

The problem is far more likely to be your faulty understanding of the dispensation given to Paul.

Obviously your opinion is based on your logic and not scripture.
How come David was under grace while living in the dispensation of the Law?

Why did Adam receive grace before Paul?
