You have joy in the face of utter hopelessness?

I will be hopeful even on my death-bed. Not for my own future, of which there will be none, but for the future of my family and friends and those I have influenced or loved. There is joy here to be had for its own sake.

It is only hopeless if I am entirely self-centred. Which I try not to be.

Your hope will be thwarted. They will all too vanish without a trace.

There is joy here to be had for its own sake.
Nothing that will last beyond a moment and a breath.

It is only hopeless if I am entirely self-centred. Which I try not to be.

It's hopeless no matter who you are. For you, the future holds only decay, darkness and death,

I hope not in that order!

I'm hoping for death to be the start of the decay and darkness, not for decay and darkness to lead on to death.

To deny the truth of this is to deny everything else God has said. His truth is just that...truth.

He doesn't lie, nor does He deceive.

It is literal and Biblical truth.

It's like the bridge to "Supernatural" by DC Talk:

(bridge)
In six days, the universe was made
Supernatural
And from the dead a man was raised
Supernatural
They say he walked across the waves
Supernatural
And I'll believe it to my grave
