ECT ROM 13:11 and MEANING !!

Hi to all and one poster on TOL has Rom 13:11 confused with being saved !!

Rom 13:11 reads , And this , knowing the time , that already ( it is the ) HOUR ( for ) us to be raised out of SLEEP , for now our Salvation ( is ) nearer than when we believed !!

31 , The time is speaking to the RAISING from the dead !!

#2 , That is what asleep means in this verse !!

#3 And it also means that those who are DEAD , are Salvation of our BODIES is Nearer than when we believed and that means when we were saved by Faith Eph 2:8 !!

And many are ASLEEP to this truth !!

Before that Paul wrote of loving your neighbor. I see Romans 13:11 as a "wake up and smell the bacon" type thing. Apparently some of the Romans were still living in the flesh. As some people today they wanted to live in the flesh but also go to heaven.

"The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts" (Romans 13:12-14).
