There are:

  • The gospel of the kingdom
  • The gospel of Jesus Christ
  • The gospel of the kingdom of God
  • The gospel of the grace of God
  • The gospel of God
  • The gospel of Christ
  • The gospel of peace
  • The gospel of the uncircumcision
  • The gospel of the circumcision
  • The gospel of your salvation

These are all the same Gospel, that promises pardon from sin, and eternal life by faith in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, which comes to sinners by the power of the Holy Spirit unto guaranteed salvation.

Eternal life is the best good news, but not the only good news.

The Gospel is always the promise of forgiveness and everlasting life.

If the "news" does not contain God's Covenant promises of grace, it is NOT a gospel message.

You stupid twit. I wasn't accusing you, I was acknowledging that you see the difference.

You twit . . . I deny there is a difference.

First someone must preach the gospel, then people will hear the gospel, in order to believe the gospel.

You just destroyed your own belief system.

But how can a sinner HEAR the preacher, or the message, if he does not have ears to hear?

How can a sinner evidence faith/belief when he does not comprehend the truth, due to an unchanged heart, mind, and will?

The gospel of the kingdom was about the coming of the King to Israel to establish His righteous Kingdom. This is how the twelve could go to Israel and preach the gospel of the kingdom and still have no understanding that Christ would die.
Mat 10:5-7 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: (6) But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. (7) And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Luk 18:31-34 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. (32) For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: (33) And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. (34) And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

Unfortunately, yes.

Actually, it is like the RCC. They believe in faith + works for Noah, Abraham, King David, etc.

But supposedly, the gospel of Paul was the only promise of salvation by grace, alone.

Which of course, is totally wrong.

The one true Gospel has always been the promise from God that He would provide a Savior, to save His people, by grace alone, through faith alone, according to Scripture alone, through the righteousness of Messiah, alone . . . to the glory of God, alone.

Right, and this is the Gospel that God the Son incarnated to declare and manifest and accomplish in the Person of Jesus Christ.
WE now know these things because God revealed the "whole package" to Paul. But when the twelve were preaching the gospel of the kingdom to Israel THEY did NOT mention Christ's death at all. They could not, as they did not know.

So an Israelite could still be righteous while telling God, "NO I will not follow your Law"?

Righteousness does not come by obeying the law, but if you believe God then you'll, by faith, attempt to do what He says.

"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith."

It was because they had faith that they were looking forward to the promise, and they did work knowing that God would do as He said.

Today, we are resting in the finished work that they looked forward to.

I agree with you.

Ask heir why she thinks Noah built the ark . . .
