Romans 1:6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul in the book of Romans addresses the members of the church as saints (1 Corinthians 14:33) and as being called.

2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

2:14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Being called is not the receiving of a special divine sense of direction for service, but rather it is the calling to salvation by the gospel, as can be seen in 2 Thessalonians 2:14.

Here is the gospel by which we are called today:

1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

We are all sinners who can not save ourselves.

See Romans 3:23 Titus 3:5 Romans 5:6

Christ died for our sins; He was our substitute, He paid the full penalty and debt for our sin by his blood sacrifice.

See 2 Corinthians 5:21 Romans 3:24 Romans 3:25 Romans 3:26

He was buried.

He rose again for our justification ( to declare us righteous) and forgiveness of all our sin. He gives us His righteousness and eternal life.

See Romans 4:25 Ephesians 1:7 Romans 4:22 Romans 4:23 Romans 4:24 1 Corinthians 1:30

All we have to do is believe the gospel.

See Romans 4:5 1 Corinthians 1:21 Ephesians 1:13

Believing is being persuaded that something is true.

See Romans 4:21

The moment you believe you have eternal life.

Titus 1:1 Titus 1:2 Titus 3:7

Trust the gospel of your salvation. Believe in Jesus Christ to have provided payment for your sins and to give you eternal life. Place your faith in Jesus Christ, in his blood, his death and his resurrection.

"So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household” (Acts 16:31).

Matthew Henry Commentary

"Those who are thoroughly convinced of sin, and truly concerned about their salvation, will give themselves up to Christ. Here is the sum of the whole gospel, the covenant of grace in a few words; Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..."

There is no such thing in the Bible as "the covenant of grace".

There is something called the dispensation of the grace of God (Eph 3:2).

Acts 16:31 is absolutely is true and what we must do but notice the following verse

Acts 16:32And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

They spoke more than that to the jailer.

Do you believe that Paul taught the gospel of the kingdom?

Yes, that is the gospel which he wrote of here:

"Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead"
(Ro.1:1-4).

That is the gospel which Paul preached to the Jews during the Acts period. That gospel was promised by the OT prophets while the gospel he preached to the Gentiles he described as the "hidden" wisdom of God:

"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory"
(1Cor.2:7-8).

Do you believe that Paul taught the gospel of the kingdom?

Paul taught the gospel of the grace of God in which all are justified freely by the propitiation of the blood of Jesus by his cross (Romans 3:24-25).

Now Paul taught the kingdom of God (Acts 28:31).

The kingdom of God consists of an earthly kingdom and a heavenly kingdom (1 Chronicles 29:11 2 Timothy 4:18 Ephesians 1:10).

Jesus and the twelve preached the gospel of the kingdom (Matthew 4:23). They preached Jesus as the Son of God, Messiah who would fulfill the promises of the fathers and establish an earthly kingdom in which the believing remnant of Israel would rule and reign with Jesus on earth as kings and priests (Revelation 5:10).

Paul never preached the gospel of the kingdom. Paul taught that the body of Christ would hold positions in the heavenly aspect of the kingdom of God, not the earthly (Ephesians 1:3).

The Apostle Paul revealed that beginning with the rapture all those in the Body of Christ will be with the Lord Jesus forever (1 Thess.4:17). So when the Lord Jesus returns to the earth to reign in His earthly kingdom those in the Body of Christ will be with Him.

What is the gospel of the kingdom?

The heart and soul of the "gospel of the kingdom" is the truth that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. The Jews who believed that gospel were saved by being "born of God" the moment they believed that truth (1 Jn.5:1-5, Jn.20:30-31).

The heart and soul of the "gospel of the kingdom" was the good news that the King was on earth and about setup His kingdom as described throughout prophecy.

Luk 1:31-33 KJV And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. (32) He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: (33) And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

That is an excellent synopsis of the gospel of the kingdom.

Isa 9:6-7 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (7) Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

More of the same...

Dan 7:13-14 KJV I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. (14) And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

More of the same.

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

The Lord comes with his angels not the body of Christ.

The Lord comes with his angels not the body of Christ.

Where in the Bible are angels ever referred to as "saints"?:

"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him"
(Jude 14-15).

You deny Paul's words that beginning at the rapture those in the Body of Christ will forever be with the Lord Jesus:

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1 Thess.4:16-17).

Even though Paul states in no uncertain terms that beginning at the rapture those in the Body of Christ will "ever be with the Lord" you say that those in the Body of Christ will not be with the Lord Jesus when He returns to the earth to establish His earthly kingdom.

The good news of the coming of Messiah's kingdom.

Matthew 24
Bradley, please don't be a "chapter blaster". Don't just throw an entire chapter at me as if I know what you're trying to get at.

The "Messiah's kingdom" will be a kingdom on the earth as detailed in numerous prophecies and writings of the prophets.

The twelve were preaching this gospel of the kingdom to Israel and yet they did not even know that Christ had to die

Luke 9:1-6 and Luke 18:31-34

I understand how you would say I am denying Paul in regard to the "rapture" but let me assure you that is not the case.

We would hopefully agree that there are two comings. One for the body of Christ before the tribulation and one for Israel at the end of the tribulation.

Christ will come, I believe, before the tribulation for the body, the dead in Christ will rise first then we which are alive.

After the tribulation Christ will come to take the believing remnant of Israel into the kingdom on earth.

Then we must appear before the judgment seat of Christ for rewards. Here we find these verses:

1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The saints, the body, will be with Christ forever in the heavenly places.

Here is another verse about the judgment seat, in which the saints (Believers) will be with Christ:
1 Thessalonians 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

Now, the body of Christ, I believe, will NOT come back with Jesus at his coming for Israel and the establishment of his kingdom.

Look at Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

Now look at Deuteronomy 33:2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

Now look at Acts 7:52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

7:53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

Deuteronomy is speaking of the saints as being the angels who were mediators of the law.....saints are angels as well as believers.

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew clearly states the angels will come with Christ to establish the earthly kingdom for believing Israel.

One last point, Jude could not have prophesied anything about the body of Christ because it was hid in God and only revealed first to Paul.

Let me say that I am not being dogmatic....this is what I see...there are others who say the body will return with Christ at his earthly return....I dont see that with scripture, but I am glad we could delve into it graciously.
