That rock is the confession that Jesus is the son of God.. the Messiah!
Categorically refuted HERE. Don't bother.

And no, the CC did not give us the Bible... the Holy Spirit did.
Yes, He did---in and through the authoritative teachings of Christ's one historic Catholic Church, and never apart from them. Here you've simply engaged in a False Dilemma Fallacy. Again.

...the brainwashing you have received as a Romanist has put you into a state of cognitive dissonance where logic and reason no longer apply.
...the brainwashing you have received as a Protestant sectarian anti-Catholic has put you into a state of cognitive dissonance where logic and reason no longer apply. (See how that works?)

more CC sources, no thanks.
It's important to anti-Catholics that they are oh-so-careful to avoid actually reading and understanding what Catholics genuinely believe and teach. HS is a master at it. Here's a picture of this non-approach in non-action:

lets use sola scriptura but you don't believe that either.
Of course not, since it is taught nowhere in Scripture itself, and so is directly and unavoidably self-refuting. Sola scriptura is nothing more than a corrupt tradition of men that did not exist in the Church prior to its invention by men during the 16th-century Protestant Rebellion.

this is not true
The belief that all should submit to the Roman Pontiff

Pope Boniface VIII:

"We declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff." (Pope Boniface VIII, the Bull Unam Sanctam, 1302)

or else. RCC loves kentucky fried humans

that is your interpretation which ignores the fact that Jesus changed simon's name to peter which means rock
Johann Joseph Ignaz Von Dollinger, taught*church*history as a Roman Catholic for 47 years in the 19th century, speaking on Matthew 16:18 and theRock*admits no one in the early*church*knew of papal primacy.

"In the first three centuries, St. Irenaeus is the only writer who connects the superiority of the Roman*church*with doctrine; but he places this superiority, rightly understood, only in its antiquity, its double apostolical origin, and in the circumstance of the pure tradition being guarded and maintained there through the constant concourse of the faithful from all countries. Tertullian, Cyprian, Lactantius, know nothing of special papal prerogative, or of nay higher or supreme right of deciding in matter of doctrine. In the writings of the Greek doctors, Eusebius, St. Athanasius, St. Basil the great, the two Gregories, And St. Epiphanius, there is not one word of any prerogatives of the Roman bishop. The most copious of the Greek fathers, St. Chrystostom, is wholly silent on the subject, and so are the two Cyrils; equally silent are the Latins, Hilary, Pacian, Zeno, Lucifer, Sulpicius, and St. Ambrose."

The Popes and The Council, pgs. 70-74 quoted from The Matthew 16 Controversy, Peter and The*Rock, William Webster.

you don't need scripture for that if you have common sense
Once again in debating a Catholic man on the sufficiency of God's Word in the believers life, all we get is a attack on the sufficiency of God's Word even as this man says the Bible is a Catholic Book..
Wow, it's a Catholic book you claim but then attack it's sufficiency, showing your hypocrisy .

It's a Catholic Book but you don't obey it nor do consider it sufficient for all you needs...sounds like a unbeliever....

pope ??? there is NO such thing as Apostolic succession, the Roman Catholic Church has simply invented this false doctrine, to establish it's legitimacy..

The apostolic office was not a permanent office, but a temporary office.*
Apostles were required to have seen the risen Christ, so that he could preach a resurrection of which he had himself been an eyewitness (1 Corinthians 9:1).*
He had to be called and commissioned by the risen Lord directly (John 20:21; Acts 26:15-18), which also meant that he received the gospel from Christ Himself (Galatians 1:11-12).

Incorrect. Rather, we hold that the personal interpretations of Protestant sectarians like yourself are insufficient in the believer's life. Big difference there. Unless your personal interpretations of the Bible are somehow inspired and infallible...? Didn't think so.

...all we get is a attack on the sufficiency of God's Word...
You're wrong (see just above).

Does it seem to you that those that believe in Apostolic secession up until today do not usually know anything about what the Apostles taught when it comes to the Early Church Fathers? Especially if they themselves claim to be Apostles.
