1 Pet 2:24

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

What is so denied in religion today is the fact that Christs Death, effects, brings about Salvation. Majority of folks believe that Jesus death merely made Salvation possible for all without exception, leaving it up to man to do something to effect Salvation for himself. However Peter makes it clear to these believers exactly how they were healed, saved. It was by Christs stripes/death,blood. The word healed here is the greek word iaomai:

I heal, generally of the physical, sometimes of spiritual, disease, iáomai (a primitive verb, NAS dictionary) – healing, particularly as supernatural and bringing attention to the Lord Himself as the Great Physician (cf. Is 53:4,5)

to make whole i. e. to free from errors and sins, to bring about (one's) salvation:

Its very simple, Christs death effects the Salvation of them He died for, their boast is in the Cross of Christ, His stripes !

The death and resurrection of Christ certainly brings about salvation. Those that hear the Gospel preached, and in an honest and good heart respond with an affectionate belief of the things preached, and are thus motivated by this faith to identify with the salvation offered through identifying with the death and resurrection of Jesus through the waters of baptism will be saved. Those that do not believe will not be saved. Salvation is by faith.

Kind regards

So you believe some Christ died for will not be saved?

Greetings again beloved57,
So you believe some Christ died for will not be saved?
You seem to be using the language of some form of predestination or Calvinism.
Christ died for all sinners. But the sinner has to accept Christ. Free Will!
Yes, I agree we have a measure of free will. We are to some extent subject to our upbringing, environment and other factors. I believe that when the true Gospel is clearly preached in its simplicity and purity then we have the choice of whether to believe what is taught or to not believe the Gospel. There are many Scriptures that could be considered, but the following need to be considered:
Matthew 13:23 (KJV): But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Luke 8:15 (KJV): But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Acts 8:5–6,12 (KJV): 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. 6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
John 3:14–16 (KJV): 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

So you also don't believe Christ stripes alone healed/saved them He was wounded for like Peter testified to.

I believe that we are healed / saved by the stripes of Jesus. By acknowledging by faith what was accomplished in his death and resurrection we are forgiven our sins. What do you mean by “alone”?

Kind regards

I believe that we are healed / saved by the stripes of Jesus.

Impossible if you believe there are people Christ took stripes for who shall be lost. That means you dont contribute the stripes of Christ 100 % of the credit for healing/saving them He took stripes for !

Amen Brother, the Lord Himself is the Great Physician, in that every soul for whom His Death / Stripes were in behalf of, they were Healed / Saved; made dead to sin and all the penalty and condemnation they so deserved for transgressing God's Law. And that's before Faith, and before they come to know anything about it; they make no contribution whatsoever in healing / saving themselves by their own believing in the heart, for even their very heart is sick / wicked Jer. 17:9. Hence, they are only healed if the punishment they deserved for their sins was taken out of the way by Christ's stripes.

Col. 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Exactly, Believing in Christ is the evidence of having a saved, healed heart, or a new heart.

Companion scripture to the Truth Isa 53:5

Amen Brother, we are [perfect tense] Sanctified by Christ's Stripes / Death alone; which was completed in the past, yet also effects the present and future, meaning that none of those Christ died for Eph. 1:4-7 can ever come under the guilt and condemnation of sin:

Rom. 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Rom. 8:33-34

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

So they can never be any of those who shall die in their sins John 8:24.

Them Christ died for are healed/saved solely by His sripes since by dying for them He purged away their sins Heb 1:3

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

The word purged is katharismos:

a cleansing from the guilt of sins wrought by the expiatory sacrifice of Christ

Amen Brother, those Christ died for have been perfected forever and sanctified by His Stripes / Death alone, and which also includes their being delivered from God's Wrath; and that's before they come to obey, repent and believe in Him.

So to teach otherwise, casts contempt on the Death / Blood of Christ and brings glory and boasting to the creature, and what he does that ultimatelty perfects him forever.

Exactly Brother, Christ's Work of purging the sins of His Elect / Sheep/ Church by His Stripes, assured them non-imputation of sin.

Verdict: Not Guilty. No charge can ever be laid against them: Permanently unblamable and unreprovable in God's Sight Col. 1:22!
