What is the Faith of Jesus Christ ? For example:

Rom 3:22

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Gal 2:16

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Gal 3:22

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

Contrary to what many believe and teach, the genitive phrase Faith of Jesus Christ is not speaking of the believers Faith, but of Christs Faith/Faithfulness. The word Faith in all three of these scriptures are genitive nouns meaning its Christs own Faith/Faithfulness in view. To be Justified by the Faith of Christ is simply being Justified by His Faithfulness or Obedience. Rom 5:19 points to that, its being made righteous by the obedience of one, that one being Christ.

Same thing in Phil 3:9

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Gods Elect are made, declared legally righteous or Justified by Christs Faithful Obedience to fulfill all conditions needed before Gods Law and Justice in their behalf.

The Man Christ Jesus, the Mediator between God and Men did upon this earth what no other man could do, to include Adam the very first man, and that was to keep the Law of God perfectly. The Lord Jesus Christ every moment of His earthly pilgrimage did this Matt 22:37-39

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Remember this Deut 6:4-6

4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:

5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Only Christ did and accomplished this !

It is said of Christ Isa 42:20

21 The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

The works that no longer have to be done are the PURIFICATION works of the law because Jesus PURIFIES us now.

Jesus OBEYED the Father and that is why he remains in the Father's love.

We too must OBEY to be in Jesus' love.

That is what JESUS SAYS..

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Many versions read "even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference..." (Romans 3:22).

Barnes' Notes on the Bible

"By faith of Jesus Christ - That is, by faith in Jesus Christ. Thus, the expression, Mark 11:22, "Have the faith of God" (margin), means, have faith in God. So Acts 3:16, the "faith of his name" "(Greek)," means, faith in his name. So Galatians 2:20, the "faith of the Son of God" means, faith in the Son of God. This cannot mean that faith is the meritorious cause of salvation, but that it is the instrument or means by which we become justified. It is the state of mind, or condition of the heart, to which God has been pleased to promise justification. (On the nature of faith see the note at Mark 16:16.) God has promised that they who believe in Christ shall be pardoned and saved. This is his plan in distinction from the plan of those who seek to be justified by works."

Amen Brother, the Faith / Faithfulness of Jesus Christ [genitive case]; The Faith He possesses in His Life and Obedience on behalf of all the elect of God Rom. 5:19, is the basis for, and Fruit of the subjective Righteousness or Justification that the elect of God experience when they are given this Faith Gal. 5:22 in New Birth.

Christ as Mediator for all God's Elect, in His Perfect Obedience to God's Law and Justice Rom. 5:19, also Obeyed the Law of Love Perfectly for them, God's Covenant People Deut. 7:6-7..

This Law of Love along with Faith, is also a Fruit of the Holy Spirit given when one is Born of the Spirit / Born Again John 3:3-7.

Gal. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

I am not arguing this but, I view this as speaking of the object of our faith. The faith of Christ, I see as defined in Galatians 2:16 where Paul says "even we have believed in Jesus Christ,"
We can have faith, but faith in what, in this case the faith of Jesus Christ is placing faith in him.

Why do you so despise the Bible truth of the believer's being justified by his/her belief in Jesus Christ?

Where, in Scripture, would you say we are told that the believer is justified by Jesus Christ's belief in Jesus Christ, rather than by his/her own belief in Jesus Christ?

Contrary to what anti-Bible errorists such as yourself teach, the genitive phrase, "the faith of Jesus Christ", is speaking of the believer's belief in Jesus Christ; it is not speaking of Christ's belief, nor of Christ's faithfulness, nor of Christ's faithful obedience to God's law.

Paul says, "WE have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith [i.o.w., by the belief] of Christ...."
Paul does not say, "CHRIST has believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith Christ..."

It is by Paul's having believed in Jesus Christ that Paul has been justified; it is not by Jesus Christ's belief in Jesus Christ that Paul has been justified.

In the original Gospel that Jesus tried to induct the Jews into the Kingdom with, salvation was by Faith in the Father and the responsibility that comes with being a salvaged son of God. The Jews hated Jesus for his gospel because they had a religion of "descent" and the authority of a self proclaimed "chosen people". It was a man made religion that enriched the priesthood.

Yes, did you understand my post? The faith OF Jesus was faith in the Father, his Father, our Father, the Father. That was the original, pre-cross gospel that he taught to the Jews that made them so angry.
