THE PREACHING OF CHRIST

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

16:27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Paul was saying God would stablish or strengthen the church according to Paul's gospel and by the preaching of Jesus Christ:

1) according to the revelation of the mystery

2) by the scriptures of the prophets

The preaching of Jesus Christ was by the mystery and by the prophets.

The mystery of justification by the redemption of Jesus Christ, and the body of Christ was revealed to Paul. The mystery was not revealed before Paul. The mystery was not revealed unto the prophets.

Right Divider

Body part
I would say that most, if not all, of the people that adamantly push the "one true gospel" idea do not understand the revelation of the mystery and believe that there is only one way to "preach Jesus". That is a source of much confusion and division.

What did Isaiah mean here Isa 53:11

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

The death and resurrection was not hidden and was revealed to the prophets. That by the cross, Israel and Gentile would be freely justified and form the body of Christ was not revealed until Paul.

It's Paul's gospel and Peter's gospel, it is Christ's gospel, it is GOD's gospel.

No such thing as different gospels.

1) according to the revelation of the mystery

Jesus is the mystery.

Jesus came and taught the new covenant.

That is just not true to keep saying that.
Jesus came and TAUGHT it.

How can you say such a thing when the scriptures even have a Samaritan woman saying now she knows she met the SAVIOR of the WORLD?

How can you say what you do when John the baptizer said HE IS THE LAMB OF GOD THAT TAKES AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD?

How can you speak such falseness after reading how Jesus said a GENTILE had greater faith than any he had seen and that people are being thrown out because of it?

The verses you quote literally say that it is made known by the prophets. Yet you try to use these verses to tell us precisely the opposite - that the prophets never heard about it. :hammer:

The Body of Christ was always formed for it and Christ are one. As long as it's been a Christ there's been a Body of Christ. The Mystery was that Gentiles would be part of that Body.

Luke 2:32
a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel."

Acts 13:47
For this is what the Lord has commanded us: "'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'"

Acts 26:23
that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles."

Same one and only gospel mystery revealed.

Same gospel revealed in LUKE as IN ACTS.

ACTS OF THE APOSTLES.

The verses you quoted are prophetic not mystery. It was prophesized in scripture that the Gentiles would be blessed through Israel. Paul revealed the Gentiles could be justified freely apart from Israel (Ephesians 3:1-6 Romans 3:24).

Don't you recognize the scriptures? It is Paul speaking in those scriptures.

You don't even recognize that Paul quoted the same thing that was already said about Jesus but in Luke.

You also say error when you say APART from Israel.

Jesus came and people KNEW that he was the SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.

Jesus made the Jews and Gentiles ONE.

No such thing as APART from Israel, as you said.

Don't you want the truth?

Paul did not just preach Christ according to mystery but, also from the law and the prophets (Romans 16:25-26).

In Acts 13:47 Paul was speaking in regard to Isaiah 49:6

In Acts 26:23 Paul is once again citing the prophets as said in the previous verse 22

I gave you scripture from LUKE that shows Jesus is the mystery revealed.

Luke says for Gentiles too.

You are having a hard time grasping that.

Luke 2:32 was prophecy (Isaiah 42:6) as this was known by the prophets.

The Gentiles were strangers from the covenants and without God (Ephesians 1:12). They could come to God through Israel (Exodus 12:48). Paul revealed they could be saved apart from Israel (Romans 3:24 1 Timothy 4:10) ; this was a mystery not revealed until Paul (Ephesians 3:1-7).

No such thing as a salvation separate from Israel.

Jesus came and taught the way for everyone.
