ROMANS 16:7 IN CHRIST BEFORE PAUL

Romans 16:7 Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

Those in Christ before Paul had believed the preaching of Peter and the apostles. They were not in the body of Christ. They had the promise of the Davidic kingdom on earth (Exodus 19:5-6 Daniel 7:18 Psalm 22:28).

Paul addressed them in his epistles and admonished those in the body to receive those weak in the faith (Romans 15:1).

Good grief, the scripture says they were in Christ, in him means in his body.

So they were in Christ but not in the body of Christ. Christ and His Body are One ! 1 Cor 12:12

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

Hi and many fail to SEE that the B O C was NOT YET IN OPERATION !!

Another point is that Rom 16:7 says , HAVE BECOME / OR WERE / is in the Greek PERFECT TENSE , ACTIVE VOICE , and in the INDICATIVE MOOD and as John 15:1-7 says that those in Rom 16:7 were ( in HIM and HE in THEM !!

Those in Rom 16:7 were the ones that PAUL was persecuting , in Gal 1:23 and in verse 22 Paul was not known to the assemblies in Judea so explain how theyb were saved by Grace that Paul was preaching ??

Also notice that from Rom 16:8-15 WERE ( in HIM ) and that Paul's mother is mentioned in verse 13 !!

Also notice that in verse 8 it does not use " in CHRIST " BUT uses " in the Lord " and the same in verse 11 and 13 !!

"Those in Christ before Paul had believed the preaching of Peter and the apostles. They were not in the body of Christ."

What?

"
When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance" (Acts 2:1-4).

Acts 2 is not the start of the church, the body of Christ, but rather, the prophecy given to Israel by Joel (Joel 2:28-29) in regard to the earthly kingdom promised them (Acts 2:16-21)

Isn't it amazing how hard it is for so many Christians to understand and believe these simple truths?

Hi and this is for those that do NOT understand what Gal 3:28 really means !!

Gal 3:28 says n THERE CANNOT BE JEW , NOR Greek in the B O C and be " in CHRIST "

That is plain English , do you understand that ??

Hi and what you refuse to believe is that the B O C was not in operation until Paul was saved in Acts 9:6 !!

And refuse to comment why in Rom 16:11 , 12 , 13 why INSTEAD of using _ in Christ " verse 11,12, 13 USES " IN THE LORD "

And as a Calvinist , are you worried you have no answer ??

Christ has always been the Head of His Body the Church Col 1:15-18

5 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Hi and you did not quote verse 16 correct !!

It does not read All things have been created and the correct translation reads < THE ALL THINGS / TA PANTA and TA / MEANS / THE and PANTA means ALL THINGS , so check and you will stop mis-quoting the apostle Paul OR get a Greek book and see that I am correct !!

ALL THINGS / PANTA just means ALL THINGS but TA PANTA / THE ALL THINGS , means THE ALL THINGS that concern the B O C !!

Get rid of that CALVINIST FALSE GOSPEL you preaching and follow Paul 1 Cor 11:1 !!

Hi and you are again REFUSING to explain POST #14 and explain where the GOSPEL OF CALVINISM is found , and must be ASHAMED of what that GOSPELS means , RIGHT ??

Show me a verse outside of Paul that says this. The body of Christ and Christ as head is unique to the revelations given Paul. You would not even know this except by Paul.

If you don't accept Paul's writings you don't accept the truth of God.
