2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

3:7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

3:8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

Paul was made an able minister of the new testament. Paul did not minister the old letter of the law, he ministered the spirit.

The new testament should be viewed as being distinct from the old and new covenants. A covenant is an agreement between two parties. A testament is a bequest made by only one party on behalf of an other or others. A testament is not in force until the death of the testator, the one who makes a will or legacy.

The new covenant was made only with the house of Israel and Judah (Jeremiah 31:31). The new covenant promised Israel and Judah that God will, by His Spirit, write His law in their hearts; by His Spirit, enable them to keep His law, and be a light to the Gentiles (Jeremiah 31:31-34 Ezekiel 36:24-28 Matthew 5:14 Isaiah 60:3). The new covenant will be fulfilled in the future.

The new testament is given to Israel as well. Jesus died and shed his blood to redeem Israel; for the redemption of their transgressions that were under the first testament (Hebrews 9:15-18 Matthew 26:28 Mark 14:24). The new testament was put into force upon his death (Hebrews 9:17), while the new covenant has yet to be fulfilled.

Paul is a minister of the spirit; a minister of the new testament, not the new covenant. Paul expounds the spiritual blessings, the spititual benefits, of the new testament, given to the body of Christ; the blessings and eternal salvation, which are bestowed, by the cross of Christ. The new testament blood of Christ, has also been applied to His body, the church (Romans 3:25 Romans 4:25 Romans 8:16 1 Corinthians 2:12 1 Corinthians 12:13 Philippians 3:3).

That Jesus would die for the sins of Israel was in prophecy (Mark 8:31 Mark 9:31 Isaiah 53 Psalm 16:10); that his death and shed blood would also be applied to Gentiles and the body of Christ was kept secret until revealed to Paul (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 Ephesians 3:2-6).

Paul is also an able minister to the Jews. Paul details that God will keep His covenant with the Jews; God has not cast away Israel (Romans 11:2 Romans 11:27).

Hi and what many think that the BODY OF CHRIST has a COVENANT / DIATHEKE and it does not !!

The Greek word TESTAMENT / DIATHEKE can also b translated , WILL , COMPACT , COVENANT and in this verse ARRANGEMENT is the correct to use in 2 Cor 3:6 and in 1 Cor 11:25 !!

Paul was made an able minister of the new testament. Paul did not minister the old letter of the law, he ministered the spirit.
The Spirit is what Jesus ministered, and Paul ministered that same one and only which Jesus taught.

John 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.

John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

The new testament should be viewed as being distinct from the old and new covenants. A covenant is an agreement between two parties. A testament is a bequest made by only one party on behalf of an other or others. A testament is not in force until the death of the testator, the one who makes a will or legacy.
The New Testament is the same as the New Covenant.

It is called a Testament because Jesus was a man, and yet, it is a Covenant because Jesus is God and still lives.

The new covenant was made only with the house of Israel and Judah. The new covenant will be fulfilled in the future.

Jesus said that when he is crucified then ALL MEN can come to him to be saved.

John 12:32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself."

John 1:9The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

The new testament is given to Israel as well. Jesus died and shed his blood to redeem Israel; for the redemption of their transgressions that were under the first testament. The new testament was put into force upon his death, while the new covenant has yet to be fulfilled.
All is fulfilled, and it is for ANYONE, and WHOMEVER, and ALL.

Paul is a minister of the spirit; a minister of the new testament, not the new covenant.

Again, the New Testament and the New Covenant are one and the same.

Paul expounds the spiritual blessings, the spititual benefits, of the new testament, given to the body of Christ; the blessings and eternal salvation, which are bestowed, by the cross of Christ. The new testament blood of Christ, has also been applied to His body, the church
That Jesus would die for the sins of Israel was in prophecy that his death and shed blood would also be applied to Gentiles and the body of Christ was kept secret until revealed to Paul
Peter taught to the Gentiles before Paul; AND, the 'CHURCH' was already being taught before Paul.

1 Thessalonians 2:14 For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of God’s churchesin Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own people the same things those churches suffered from the Jews 15 who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyone 16 in their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them at last.

Paul is also an able minister to the Jews. Paul details that God will keep His covenant with the Jews; God has not cast away Israel.

ALL must come to God THROUGH Jesus BEFORE Jesus comes again, or it will be too late.

The new covenant was made only with the house of Israel and Judah:

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Jesus shed his blood only for Israel to redeem them from the transgressions under the first testament:

Hebrews 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Jesus revealed to Paul that his shed blood, death and resurrection will also justify all freely by faith.

The new covenant was made only with the house of Israel and Judah:
You just ignored all that I said and the scriptures I gave. What kind of discussion is that?

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
The New Covenant INCLUDES GENTILES.

Acts 10:43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

Same one and only New Testament/New Covenant for all.

All have to repent of their sins and believe that Jesus' shed blood on the cross washes those sins away.

Luke 24:46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things.

No such thing as just for Israel.

2 Samuel 22:50 Therefore I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing the praises of your name.

Psalm 117:1 Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples.

Apostle Paul even quotes Psalm 117:1 to let the Gentiles know that it was said in the Old Testament that they would be brought near to God one day.

Romans 15:11 And again, "Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol him."

Psalm 66:4 All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name."

Even the Samaritan woman knows Jesus is the Savior of the world.

John 4:42 They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, takes away the sin of the world!

1 John 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 4:14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
