I agree , AB. We have many, many politicians and bosses and very, very few leaders. Men like Dwight Eisenhower, Teddy Roosevelt, and Clement Attlee no longer exist it seems.

some law or lack of law ?

every city has homeless people , is this a protest ?

They are everywhere, but nowhere are the most extreme of them in such total control as in SF. That, plus the history of SF being a magnet for freaks and weirdos.

Maybe things are like this is San Francisco, but it's not due to the state's allegedly "socialist " government . And remember - the poorest , most backward, run down and hopeless US states are all down south - and run by Republicans !

OK. So you made an unsupported assertion. Where is your evidence that socialism is not at the bottom of all of San Francisco's economic and social problems? Home prices and rentals in San Francisco are within the top 5 in the nation. The other cities with the highest prices are also run just like San Francisco. Do you understand what causes that? It's the government interference in the marketplace with very restrictive rent controls and very restrictive codes for where and when homes can be built. The other cities in the same price range as San Francisco have the same type of policies. Who gets hurt the worst by the extremely high prices caused by government policies? The poor. The rich don't mind because they have so much money. So, these socialist programs, remember socialism is an economic theory that puts the government in control of economic issues, are the direct cause of the poor being badly hurt economically.

The social policies of San Francisco's government have a direct link to the issues of filthy streets, homeless people. crime, drug addiction, etc.... They spend billions of dollars every year making things worse.

If you'd like to actually debate this using facts I would be very interested in doing so as I have a lot of resources to use in my arguments.
