An aide to Burr, the Republican chairman, told Fox News that Burr was aware of the "contact" Warner made with Steele's representative but added, "I don't believe he was aware of the content of the text messages" initially...The senators released a joint statement to Fox News stressing they are working together, while blasting the “leaks of incomplete information.”
They said the committee has been in possession of this material for several months and committee investigators have pursued all relevant investigative leads related to the material.
“From the beginning of our investigation we have taken each step in a bipartisan way, and we intend to continue to do so," Warner and Burr said in the statement. "Leaks of incomplete information out of context by anyone, inside or outside our committee, are unacceptable.”
The conversation about Steele started on March 16, 2017, when Waldman texted, "Chris Steele asked me to call you."
Warner responded, "Will call tomorrow be careful.”
The records show Warner and Waldman had trouble connecting by phone. On March 20, Warner pressed Waldman by text to get him access to Steele.
"Can you talk tomorrow want to get with ur English friend," Warner texted.
"I spoke to him yesterday," Waldman texted.

It's going to be tough on the dems this November with all the Winning Trump does. The dems finally wised up and let Trump and Mattis fund the military with about 700 billion each of the next two years, the economy is booming, the tax cuts are starting now, jobs, jobs, jobs, WITH PAY RIASES and the dems caved on DACA. Even though it's well know that the opposing party takes control in the elections after the Inauguration, this time around President Trump may be the exception to the rule.
If the Russians are caught once again trying to influence the 2018 Interim Elections, which is a foregone conclusion, the wrath of the American public against a White House that refused to take corrective measures will be so great that it really won't matter which party controls Congress!
Faced with a nationwide revolt against a Russian sympathizer in the White House, the Republicans will be forced to throw "The Donald" under the bus to divert responsibility away from themselves and for political self-preservation!

The majority of Americans are already prepared to vote against Trump - that dissatisfaction will only increase as women voters watch this President repeatedly align himself with those males engaged in spousal abuse!
Trump's steadfast refusal to take the necessary steps to prevent further Russian intervention in the 2018 Interims is a huge leap of faith - given that if there is any evidence of Putin interference, "The Donald" could replace Benedict Arnold as the most despised traitor in American history!
I'm glad that a little over half the population doesn't see things the way you do. In fact, many long time dem voters and new Americans, many blacks and other minorities and Republicans that didn't vote in 16 because we kept being told it was hopeless for Trump, are eager to vote again for Trump in 2020. After Repubs win this November. You see, there will always be a SILENT majority that supports Trump, people that don't shout it from the rooftops like I do. I'll bet more dems switch to over than ever before now.
Does that explain why Judge Moore, a candidate for which "The Donald" endorsed and campaigned, lost to a Democrat in deep-red Alabama?
There have been other federal and state elections in Republican "strongholds" where the Democratic candidate has won - so this wasn't some isolated phenomena!

There is very little doubt that more voters will vote for democrats in the midterm elections. The question is whether or not there will be enough of them to overcome Gerrymandering and win enough seats to take control of the House.

Things have changed, that was a long time ago. Americans see Trump succeeding and Winning for them. Tax cuts, immigration reform, cracking down on illegal criminal immigrants, border security and ending sanctuary cities. The people now know that the dirty dems got caught doing dirt. Colluding with Russia, obstructing justice, cheating, lying, accusing, espionage, treason, sexual abuse and the list goes on.
The Republicans are on the wrong side of these issues - a campaign based on fear and division may appeal to a 1/3 of the electorate, not enough to maintain control of the House and Senate!
