More on Mike Pence.

Back on page 182 of Part 4 I talked about how as Governor of Indiana, Mike Pence cowered to the LGBTQ movement and ended up selling out Christian business people. The article is worth sharing again:

March 31, 2015

Amid Controversy, Pence Backs Down on Anti-Gay Law Religious Freedom Law

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) said Tuesday that he wanted to see legislation on his desk this week clarifying that the controversial religious freedom bill he signed into law did not allow businesses to deny service to anyone.

Pence made the announcement at a widely televised press conference the same day that the Indianapolis Star ran a front-page editorial urging state lawmakers to change the legislation.

"After much reflection and in consultation with leadership of the General Assembly I've come to the conclusion that it would be helpful to move legislation this week that makes it clear that this law does not give businesses to deny services to anyone," Pence said at a press conference on Tuesday. "Let me say that again. I think it would be helpful and I'd like to see on my desk before the end of this week legislation that is added to the Religious Freedom Restoration Act that makes it clear that this law does not deny services against anyone.

...Asked if it should be legal in Indiana to discriminate against gays or lesbians, Pence said he didn’t agree with any kind of discrimination.
“I don’t support discrimination against gays, or lesbians of anyone else. I abhor discrimination. I want to say this: No one should be harassed or mistreated because of who they are, who they love, or what they believe,” Pence said.

Gee Mike, I never thought that a Christian business owner telling a proud and unrepentant homosexual that Jesus has a better way for him or her was harassment.

The things we learn from fake conservatives.

Like his predecessors before him, Donald Trump recently spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast.

Unlike his predecessors before him, Donald Trump brought many of his Russian allies along with him:

Trump and Large Russian Delegation Attend National Prayer Breakfast, Organizers Say

Feb. 8, 2018

More than 50 people from Russia’s religious and political elite are attending the National Prayer Breakfast along with President Donald Trump on Thursday, according to organizers. The number is three times higher than last year’s quota of Russians to attend the high-profile event.
The Fellowship Foundation, a religious organization that organizes the National Prayer Breakfast, does not disclose how it compiles its guest list. But several members of Russia’s parliament and a member of the political opposition running for president against Vladimir Putin were reportedly invited to the event. Officials told Russian media that the event provided an opportunity to hold informal meetings and build bridges between different layers of society, according to CNN. Every president since Dwight Eisenhower has attended the annual event.

When it comes to the pathological liar being a follower of Christ, let's review:

For someone who is supposedly a follower of Christ, Donald Trump sure does stand for a lot of things that God abhors (like signing legislation 3 times in his first year in office that funds Planned Parenthood. I could go on and on about Trump's pro LGBTQ stance, but it's already been covered extensively in Part 4 and 5).
Some people might recall how Donald Trump during a 2015 interview stated that he's never felt the need to ask for God's forgiveness:

In the above video Donald Trump also ranted on about his former pastor, the fraud of a Christian Norman Vincent Peale:
"As a Christian minister he (Peale) told Phil Donahue, “It’s not necessary to be born again. You have your way to God, I have mine. I found eternal peace in a Shinto shrine … I’ve been to Shinto shrines and God is everywhere. … Christ is one of the ways! God is everywhere.” He denied the very heart of the Christian faith and replaced it with his doctrine of positive thinking."

Trump is a fraud.

Chuck Baldwin (whom I've had issues with for a couple of reasons over the years), wrote a rather long article just under a month ago exposing Donald Trump and asking Christian men why they continue to support him.

Instead of chopping the article up and putting it in one post, I'll post it in it's entirety in several posts.

“Donald Trump Is A REAL Man”
Published: Thursday, January 25, 2018

Though I am a seasoned Christian pastor (of over 40 years), this national column is not normally pointed specifically at Christians—although I am not timid about taking my fellow pastors to task for the way so many of them refuse to sound the clarion call for liberty. And while there are multiplied thousands of Christian people who faithfully read this column, I dare say that I probably have more non-Christians (even agnostics and atheists) reading my columns (and even watching my Sunday messages) than any other preacher in America. Of course, the reason for this is quite simple: the principles and truths I commonly address transcend a Christian profession—or any religious profession, for that matter.
However, today’s column is pointed directly at Christians. No! It is pointed directly at Christian MEN. I am going to be very straightforward (so, what’s new?) and will paint this column with somewhat of a broad brush—which will NOT apply to ALL Christian men, thank God. Sadly though, this column is going to hit a large percentage of Christian men right between the eyes. But the number of them that will honestly own up to it is probably very small. So, this column is NOT going to be very popular with a large percentage of Christian men. Regardless, it MUST be said, and, frankly, I don’t know anyone else who is willing to say it. So, here goes.
Christian men talk about how much they love and worship God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. However, the words, attitudes, and actions of many of these men prove that their talk is more than cheap: it is downright duplicitous.
What a large percentage of Christian men really love is sports, the Zionist State of Israel, and Republican presidents (and secretly pornography). Listen to the conversations of Christian men in the hallways of the churches of America before and after the services, and what is the dominate discussion? You KNOW what it is: sports. And say something critical about Zionist Israel, and those same Christian men will accuse you of denying the Christian faith. But what a large percentage of Christian men REALLY love and worship is Republican presidents.

More to follow...

Continuing with Chuck Baldwin's article (which I've decided to use excerpts from instead of posting the entire article, as he's a bit too "Ron Paulish" for me).

I should make a special note that this article is (in my opinion) meant for men who prior to selling out God and supporting Donald Trump, were Christian culture warriors, not flamers who pretend to be Christian. So Matt Barber, Tony Perkins, Bryan Fischer, Selwyn Duke, etc. etc. etc, look your wives and daughters straight in the eyes and tell them that treating women with respect and decency isn't important as long as Hillary didn't win.

I should also note that this article doesn't go into what Donald Trump did as a Presidential candidate and as President (pro abortion, pro LGBTQ policies), but only his character as a supposed "man".

Continuing with Chuck Baldwin's article...

In tens of thousands of evangelical churches and Christian schools across the country, Republican presidents are lauded on a plane almost co-equal with Christ Himself. I dare say that for a large percentage of America’s Christian men, the truths they embrace, the principles they follow, and the philosophies they adopt come more from Republican presidents than from their pastors. In fact, these men will forsake their pastor for the slightest imperfection or disagreement but will remain devoted to the death to a Republican president—no matter how wicked or sinful his words and actions might be.
This foolhardy phenomenon began with Ronald Reagan’s presidency and has grown in intensity ever since.

..., we have another Republican president in the White House. His name is Donald Trump...

...Everywhere I go, I hear Christian men say, “Donald Trump is a REAL man.” I have read the opinion pieces of countless numbers of Christian writers who talk about Trump being a “REAL man.”
One Christian writer attempting to defend Donald Trump’s vulgar gutter talk said, “I like the crudeness with which President Trump tells me the truth as opposed to the classiness with which President Obama told me lies. I am a big boy. I can handle a bit of harsh truth. I grew up in a locker room. I know what real men sound like.”
Well, I grew up in locker rooms too. And if this writer is referring to the vulgar language, crude sexist jokes, profanities, and filthy mouthed obscenities often heard in locker rooms—and army barracks—(and he probably is) that has NOTHING to do with real manhood. Real men do not blaspheme Christ, demean women, make fun of decency, and show themselves unable to make complete sentences without proving their inner moral rot—not to mention their utter lack of even a grade school vocabulary.

But notice that this vindication of immoral and sinful gutter talk was made in defense of our Republican President, Donald Trump. I doubt that the writer would have excused this inexcusable conduct for any other person in the country. That’s what I’m talking about. Christian men will compromise almost any principle—no matter how holy—in defense of a Republican president.

More from Chuck Baldwin's article:

Let’s be honest: Donald Trump, the MAN Donald Trump, is a PIG. His abusive, sexist, shameful treatment of women is disgusting, despicable, disgraceful, and deplorable. And let’s face it: the only reason Trump has been able to get by with his reprehensible conduct all of these decades is because he is rich—and now, he is President. So, while he could get by with it in the world as a rich and famous guy, now that he is a Republican president, he has Christian men vindicating and vouching for him.

Trump once told Esquire magazine, “You know, it doesn't really matter what [they] write as long as you've got a young and beautiful piece of a**."
In an interview with New York Magazine, Trump said this about women: “You have to treat ‘em like s***.”

When Trump bought Miss USA, he was asked by Howard Stern how he was going to change the pageant. Trump said, “I’m going to get the bathing suits to be smaller and the heels to be higher.”

Trump also gave Stern a list of women he wanted to sleep with. The list included Princess Diana, Michelle Pfeiffer, Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts, Cindy Crawford, Mariah Carey, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Diane Sawyer.

Trump also told Stern that his daughter Ivanka was “voluptuous” and later said on the TV show “The View” that “If Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.” Then there is that infamous photograph of the then teenage daughter Ivanka sitting on Trump’s lap in a mini-skirt, holding Trump’s face in her hand and looking at him like a wife would look at her husband, as they were both sitting atop a statue of two mating parrots.

Most everyone knows that Donald Trump has been married three times and has had innumerable sexual affairs. When Trump was deposed in the divorce with his first wife, Ivana, he invoked the 5th Amendment right to keep silent about his relationship with “other women” 97 times. He had an affair with his second wife Marla Maples while he was still married to Ivana.

Regarding his current wife, Melania: “In 1999, shortly after they began dating, she participated in an on-air phone call with Trump and Howard Stern, as they discussed her chest, and whether she stole money from Donald’s wallet. When Stern asked to talk to ‘that broad in your bed,’ Trump put her on the line, and she spoke about how they had sex more than daily, and revealed that she was nearly nude. Stern replied, ‘I have my pants off already.’ Thanks to her relationship with Trump, she finally got her glossy-magazine spread—nearly naked in British GQ, handcuffed to a briefcase on a private jet, which Trump supplied.

Managing the career moves of his companions was part of a pattern. While he was still married to Ivana, Trump pushed his girlfriend Marla Maples to pose nude in Playboy and reportedly negotiated the fee himself. (The deal fell through.)”

“As Donald’s celebrity ballooned with The Apprentice, Melania was asked to tolerate even more [humiliation]. His public interchanges with Howard Stern, which provided a kind of Greek chorus to their relationship, went from lewdly objectifying to grotesque. He agreed with Stern that his daughter Ivanka was ‘a piece of a##.’ He joked that if Melania were in a horrible, mangling car crash he’d still love her as long as the breasts remained intact.” (Source: Vanity Fair magazine, April, 2017)

Trump has allowed himself to be interviewed by the ultimate purveyor of moral filth, Howard Stern, more than any other journalist or media personality—by far.

On the Wendy Williams Show in 2013, Donald and Ivanka were asked what they had in common. Ivanka said, “Either real estate or golf.” Donald said, “Sex.”
When Donald Trump was watching his 16-year-old daughter Ivanka host the 1997 Miss Teen USA pageant, he turned to the then Miss Universe and asked: “Don’t you think my daughter’s hot? She’s hot, right?”...

And now Christian men are, wittingly or unwittingly, condoning Trump’s putrid and piggish behavior.
Think what this is doing to America’s Christian women and girls. Suddenly, it is “Christian” for a man to make sex objects out of women. After all, Trump does it, and Christians say, “Trump is a REAL man.” Suddenly, it is “Christian” for men to use the most vulgar, sexist, demeaning language. Trump does it, and Christians say he is a REAL man. Christians are now suddenly telling us that REAL men exploit women, sleep around, publicly humiliate women who are not attractive enough, talk in the most sexually suggestive ways about their own daughters, and brag about their sexual exploits.
I say Christian men—along with their pastors—owe Hugh Hefner, Bob Guccione, and Larry Flynt an apology. For decades, Christian men derided these pornographers for the way they sexually exploited women and made playthings out of them for the sport of males. I never heard any Christian man say that Hefner, Guccione, and Flynt were “REAL men.” Donald Trump is a direct moral (or should I say immoral) descendent and disciple of the Hefners of this world.

This article by MassResistance not only reveals how fake the annual Conservative Political Action Conference/CPAC is when it comes to true conservative values, but it reveals who the puppet masters are behind the scenes.

MassResistance table BANNED from CPAC – after having been accepted. Because of our 2015 comments about the “culture war”.
But LGBT group “Log Cabin Republicans” is allowed!
Is the “Conservative Political Action Conference” really conservative?

Feb. 13, 2018

The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the oldest and largest annual “conservative” conference in America, has abruptly banned MassResistance from having an exhibit at its 2018 session. The conference begins next week, running Feb. 21-24. CPAC had officially approved MassResistance for a table on January 29, after an involved vetting process.
But last week CPAC Executive Director Dan Schneider notified MassResistance that the decision has been reversed because of our Biblical approach to fighting the “culture war” (particularly the transgender agenda in public schools) as described in a 2015 speech by MassResistance president Brian Camenker. (See below.)

CPAC is huge. Every year it attracts thousands of people from across the US. Over the years, numerous major political figures and presidential candidates have spoken at CPAC, starting with Ronald Reagan.
CPAC goes to great lengths to present itself to the mainstream media as the gathering place for conservatism in America. CPAC and its parent group American Conservative Union (ACU), state that they are “America’s premier conservative voice” and that “ACU defines conservatism” (their emphasis).
But that is very deceiving. Similar to the direction of the GOP establishment, in recent years CPAC has become more libertarian-oriented and pro-LGBT – and hardly any pro-family groups have had exhibits or been sponsors. This seems to mesh with the attendees: approximately half are 18-24, and clearly products of modern culture.
For the past three years (including this year) the radical homosexual group Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) has been a sponsor and exhibitor at CPAC. (Prior to that, another homosexual group called GOProud was an official exhibitor in 2009 and 2010.)

LCR pushes hard to homosexualize the Republican Party and have LGBT officials and judges appointed. They fight for LGBT “anti-discrimination” laws that are used to punish Christian businesses. They’ve pushed hard to force open homosexuality – and recently transgenders – into the U.S. military. They placed an ad in USA Today to strongly denounce the 2016 GOP platform committee for supporting traditional marriage. They brag that they are “creating change.”
In 2016 and 2017 the group Atheist Voter had a table at CPAC. (In 2015, its parent organization, American Atheists, was granted a main stage speech.) The group pushes for God-less government policies, removal of “Christian ideology” from all government, repeal of religious exemptions from onerous LGBT laws, and more reporting requirements on churches. They also support the LGBT agenda, abortion “rights,” and are “fighting abstinence-only until marriage sex education.”
Many of the conference speakers, such as former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson (speaking this year) are pro-LGBT Libertarians. Marijuana legalization groups were CPAC exhibitors in 2015.

I was debating someone in another forum and shared this article about "cheap grace/carnal Christianity" with her.

I think of TOL's Libertarians pretending to be Christians when I read this article.

Question: "What is cheap grace?

Answer: The term “cheap grace” can be traced back to a book written by German theologian, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, called The Cost of Discipleship, published in 1937. In that book, Bonhoeffer defined “cheap grace” as “the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline. Communion without confession. Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ.” Notice what is emphasized in Bonhoeffer’s definition of cheap grace and what is de-emphasized. The emphasis is on the benefits of Christianity without the costs involved; hence, the adjective cheap to describe it.

A similar debate regarding cheap grace erupted in the 1980s and 1990s in the Lordship Salvation controversy. The controversy began when pastor and theologian John MacArthur objected to a teaching that was becoming popular in evangelical circles called “carnal Christianity.” The reference is to a statement that the apostle Paul made in his first letter to the church at Corinth: “But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:1). The phrase “of the flesh” is the Greek word sarkinos, meaning “flesh.” The word carnal comes from the Latin word for “flesh.” In the New Testament, flesh can simply mean “skin, flesh, body.” However, Paul often uses it to speak of our sinful nature—that unredeemed part of man with whom the new man in Christ must battle daily (Romans 7; 1 Corinthians 3:1-3; 2 Corinthians 10:2; Galatians 5:16-19).

The idea of carnal Christianity essentially teaches that as long as one makes a profession of faith in Christ, he or she is saved (Romans 10:9), even if there is no immediate obedience to the commands of Jesus and the apostles to live a life of holiness. It is the idea that we can have Jesus as Savior, but not necessarily as Lord. People who advocate for carnal Christianity, or “free grace” as it’s often called, do not deny the necessity of good works (i.e., holy living) for sanctification, but they distinguish the call for salvation from the call to sanctification (or discipleship).

Read more: https://www.gotquestions.org/cheap-grace.html

bonhoeffercheap-grace.jpg

I've often asked TOL's cheap grace Libertarians how they could consider themselves followers of Christ yet stand for things that He abhors.

Their answer?

crickets...

Lord, this guy is still ranting about his fascist desire to imprison people who suffer from mental disorders? Good grief.

Granted, a 12 year old Catholic altar boy who has been repeatedly raped by his priest and ends up with homosexual desires because of it does need spiritual and psychological therapy to overcome those desires, but your LGBT movement is outlawing that.

You really have to get over your obsession with Brokeback Mountain Aaron.

Dude, I haven't bothered with this pompous train wreck in ages. If it wasn't for CC posting on it I still wouldn't have bothered as it's effectively just your own sad little blog that only you spam up.

Never seen that film so once again it's that self projection on your part that comes curdling to the surface...and where it comes to 'sock puppets'...Got the one account on here doofus and I'll quite happily ask a mod to verify that if you'd take their word for it? You up for that?

Considering the lifespan of those who partake in same sex behavior, I guess a couple of weeks is considered "ages" on the LGBT calendar.

TOL would have about a dozen members if it weren't for Aaron (you) and all of his sock puppets. I find his mental illness "amusing" in a pathetic sort of way.

Back to exposing Donald Trump:

Over a year ago AFTAH's Peter LaBarbera wrote a great article exposing Donald Trump's Secretary of Education, Betsy Devos.

I had exposed her in the NY Times article attached in LaBarbera's article, but there is much much more to Devos' LGBT flag waving in LaBarbera's article.

DeVos is not as conservative on social issues as you think
