Sorta like Hunter Biden taking in $Billions$ from Russia and China, selling the Biden VP office?
  • Former spooks told Business Insider that Rudy Giuliani's role in a widely discredited New York Post story and President Donald Trump's willingness to seize on it highlights how vulnerable they are to being duped by Russian intelligence.
  • Giuliani's access to Trump, the two men's personality traits, their eagerness to obtain dirt on the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, and unwillingness to acknowledge Russian interference makes them a goldmine for foreign intelligence services, former spies said.
  • They are "grotesquely vulnerable, exploitable targets" and "any foreign intelligence service would be derelict if they did not try to exploit this," said a former CIA covert operative.
  • Steve Hall, the CIA's former chief of Russia operations, also said Trump and Giuliani's tendency to traffic in conspiracies and the rise of misinformation in right-wing media mean "we're doing a lot of [Russia's] work for them."

WASHINGTON — A New York tabloid’s puzzling account about how it acquired emails purportedly from Joe Biden’s son has raised some red flags. One of the biggest involves the source of the emails: Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani has traveled abroad looking for dirt on the Bidens, developing relationships with shadowy figures, including a Ukrainian lawmaker who U.S. officials have described as a Russian agent and part of a broader Russian effort to denigrate the Democratic presidential nominee.

Yet Giuliani says foreign sources didn’t provide the Hunter Biden emails. He says a laptop containing the emails and intimate photos was simply abandoned in a Delaware repair shop and the shop owner reached out to Giuliani’s lawyer.

That hasn’t stopped the FBI from investigating whether the emails are part of a foreign influence operation. The emails have surfaced as U.S. officials have been warning that Russia, which backed Trump’s 2016 campaign through hacking of Democratic emails and a covert social media campaign, is interfering again this year. The latest episode with Giuliani underscores the risk he poses to a White House that spent years confronted by a federal investigation into whether Trump associates had coordinated with Russia.

The Washington Post reported Thursday that intelligence agencies had warned the White House last year that Giuliani was the target of a Russian influence operation. The newspaper, citing four former officials, said that assessment was based on information including intercepted communications showing Giuliani had been in contact with people tied to Russian intelligence.

Like Obama dropping pallet of $Billions$ to the world terriost in Iran?

First of all, former President Barack Obama didn’t give “150 billion in cash” to Iran.

The nuclear agreement included China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union, so Obama didn’t carry out any part of it on his own. The deal did lift some sanctions, which lifted a freeze on Iran’s assets that were held largely in
foreign, not U.S., banks. And, to be clear, the money that was unfrozen belonged to Iran. It had only been made inaccessible by sanctions aimed at crippling the country’s nuclear program.

Secondly, $150 billion is a high-end estimate of the total that was freed up after some sanctions were lifted. U.S. Treasury Department estimates put the number at about $50 billion in “usable liquid assets,” according to 2015
testimony from Adam Szubin, acting under secretary of treasury for terrorism and financial intelligence.

The part that the meme gets right, though, is that the deal didn’t get congressional approval. The Obama administration had maintained that the agreement
wasn’t a treaty, which would have required approval by the Senate. Republicans did try to block the deal, but they weren’t able to get enough support to pass the legislation in the Senate.

Obama said Iran could have its money back if it agreed to his demands. Iran complied with his demands and so got their money back.

Like Obama promoting oppressive communist government in Cuba and Venezuela?

March 2015

WASHINGTON, March 9 (Reuters) - The United States declared Venezuela a national security threat on Monday and ordered sanctions against seven officials from the oil-rich country in the worst bilateral diplomatic dispute since socialist President Nicolas Maduro took office in 2013.

U.S. President Barack Obama signed and issued the executive order, which senior administration officials said did not target Venezuela’s energy sector or broader economy. But the move stokes tensions between Washington and Caracas just as U.S. relations with Cuba, a longtime U.S. foe in Latin America and key ally to Venezuela, are set to be normalized.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro denounced the sanctions as an attempt to topple his government. At the end of a thundering two-hour speech, Maduro said he would seek decree powers to counter the “imperialist” threat, and appointed one of the sanctioned officials as the new interior minister.

Declaring any country a threat to national security is the first step in starting a U.S. sanctions program. The same process has been followed with countries such as Iran and Syria, U.S. officials said.

Obama should apologize for shameful cash payment to Iran

President Trump spelled this out in no uncertain terms on Wednesday when he addressed the nation while seeking to dial down the imminent threat Iran may pose to our nation, the Middle East and the world.

Said the president in part, "Iran's hostilities substantially increased after the foolish Iran nuclear deal was signed in 2013 and they were given $150 billion, not to mention $1.8 billion in cash. ... Then, Iran went on a terror spree, funded by the money from the deal and created hell in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Iraq. The missiles fired last night at us and our allies were paid for with the funds made available by the last administration."

As we have seen and heard, some - especially Democrats, their allies in the media and Obama supporters - chose to challenge or quibble with Trump's statement. That said, I spoke with a former senior intelligence official who said that much of the $1.8 billion cash payoff from the Obama administration was used explicitly to fund terrorism as an additional "screw you" from the leaders of Iran - including Soleimani - to the United States. The rest of the money, my source believes, ended up in the bank accounts of corrupt Iranian leaders and terrorists.

The cash payment authorized by Obama is one of the most disgraceful and shameful "negotiations" in the history of our nation. It was a payment the Obama White House first denied, then ignored and then grudgingly acknowledged.

We paid in cash, but not U.S. currency. Wary of using U.S. bills for a variety of reasons involving concealment, the Obama White House had the money converted to untraceable Euros, Swiss francs, and other foreign currencies. More troubling than those initial denials and deceptions was the fact that $400 million of that all-cash payment was used to pay a ransom to the government of Iran for the release of four American prisoners, in violation of standing U.S. policy.

In a pathetic attempt to hide behind semantics, the Obama administration finally did acknowledge that $400 million was delayed as "leverage" until the Americans were allowed to leave Iran.

Yes, he lied about that. They were allowed by the coalition (EU, China, Russia, US) to have their money back, after they complied with Obama's demands. They did comply, too. The enrichment of all uranium, not just weapons-grade uranium, ceased. Then Trump reneged on the agreement. It was a lose-lose for America; the Iranians still had their money back, and by ending the agreement, the Iranians were then free to begin enriching uranium, which they did. Trump really messed that up. The Mullahs loved it.

Yes, the Iranian leaders complained bitterly, because release of prisoners was not part of the agreement. But a portion of their money was withheld until the prisoners were released. They really had no other choice, if they wanted their money back.

You have given "Complete Disregard" to the facts below in bold red, that Obama funded terrorist activities in (Dishonest) bias.

It's apparent, killing innocent people around the world, is no different than killing the innocent unborn (Abortion) that you also support.

You've confused "Trump claims" with "facts." Let's look at your beliefs here...

that Obama funded terrorist activities in (Dishonest) bias.

As you know, Obama had a record number of terrorist leaders killed, including Osama bin Laden. So you were completely fooled about that.

It's apparent, killing innocent people around the world, is no different than killing the innocent unborn (Abortion) that you also support.

Trump thinks that it's O.K. He paid his girlfriend (he was married to Melania at the time) to kill his unborn child. If you support Trump, then you support the killing of the unborn. I'm opposed to that, which is one of the reasons I would never vote for Trump. A lot of Trump supporters here are just fine with him killing the unborn; are you one of them? You can support Trump or you can oppose abortion. But you can't do both.

Said the president in part, "Iran's hostilities substantially increased after the foolish Iran nuclear deal was signed in 2013 and they were given $150 billion, not to mention $1.8 billion in cash. ...

He lied about that, too. Obama and the coalition (including Russia, China, EU, and others) confiscated Iranian funds and said they could have them back if they complied with Obama's demands to stop their uranium enrichment program for weapons-grade material. When they complied with the demand, and scrapped the program, the coalition let them have their money back.

Most of the Iranian money was in countries outside the U.S. and controlled by other member of the coalition. Trump lied to you about that, as well.

Then, Iran went on a terror spree, funded by the money from the deal and created hell in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Iraq.

And, yes, he lied about that, as well. Iran was using their surrogates in all those countries long before they complied with Obama's demands to stop enriching weapons-grade uranium.

The missiles fired last night at us and our allies were paid for with the funds made available by the last administration.

He lied about that, too. Those missiles were produced and operational long before they agreed to Obama's demands.

You're way too gullible. Learn to do your own research and to think for yourself.

He could be sincere in this. There are people who actually believe that anyone disagreeing with them, must be deliberately deceptive. It's a stage children go through, and some people never outgrow it.

Correction, a (Dishonest) Troll

As you previously stated, and you have been proven to be 100% correct, I'm fully aware of his dishonest trolls, that wouldn't admit to the truth if it hit him in the face.

dose I post at christianchat.com, there's about 20 regulars in politics, and about 30 in bible discussion.

It appears it's just you, Anna, and barbie here, sorta like a deserted?

but bear in mind that most of the old-timers recognize anna and barbie for what they are and ignore them as background noise.

There are more left than just the ones you mentioned, maybe you're not around enough to see them. Some only drop in from time to time, others are here more often. But TOL is a ghost ship compared to what it was, like a lot old-school forums. Most everyone has moved on, we're just what's left, for good or for bad. :plain: Eventually probably we'll all have moved on, I'm hanging on until the election.

I met some amazing people here though, and that's what's made it hard to leave, but I still post here because I use TOL kind of like a storyboard - it helps me sort through and visualize the information I come across every day. I also enjoy being the opposition :) because it helps me process ideas. That's how it is for me anyway, everyone has their own reasons for being here.
