You must have missed the fact that we aren't judging between two sins.

The rapist is responsible for his own heinous behavior. The stripper is responsible for her own immoral behavior.

Being raped does not erase the guilt of the stripper, just as being aroused by a stripper does not erase the guilt of the rapist. He has no excuse for raping and she has no excuse for stripping. You might have to engage your brain in order to comprehend these complex issues, so I won't hold my breath.

So glad you agree that the raper is far worse than the promiscuous lady.

“And behold, a woman who was in the city, a sinner; and when she knew that he was sitting at meat in the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster cruse of ointment, and standing behind at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.”

Most definitely.

Well, don't feel bad. You aren't alone. God's ways are not man's ways, but He does give us a lot of information by which we can know how He works. The hard part is believing what we read, without forcing our own understanding onto it.

Romans 11:33
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Okay, Squeaky. Post a bunch of unrelated verses so people will think you know what you're talking about. ;)

This thread will hopefully be closed soon, much to the chagrin of Judge GD and company, so everybody get your digs in !!

That would be nice ... though it's rather disturbing that several threads exist because certain posters believe some women deserve to be raped.

I've never said otherwise. I'm not into weighing the degrees of sin, or the amount of guilt of either party. God can see into the hearts of both wrong doers....who knows which has the greatest fault? The stripper may actually have more. For your reading pleasure....

Proverbs 7:6-27
For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night: And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.) So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves. For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey: He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed. With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

So, are you going to play Town's game where he tries to make it seem like someone is agreeing when they haven't really moved an inch from what they said originally? It's an old game, but whatever..... :plain:

When it comes to finding women with the values i look for in a mate, all the ones that are attractive, do not possess the qualities I want.
Either you're standards are problematic or you're young and looking at a fairly young group or you just haven't hit a large enough sample. People in their early twenties are rarely ready for a serious companionship as they rarely really understand themselves well enough to understand what sort of person will work with them.

Western value are pervasive ;
Great, depending on what you see as Western values.

just like you absorbed progressivism.
Compared to our founders we're all progressives.

You are a product of your environment.
No more than anyone else and no less. In my case the environment was a home where culture and education, deliberation and serious, substantive conclusion were valued and practiced, especially at the dinner table.

I don't have to know half if my sample is representative.
And you can't know if your sample is representative absent some objective means to determine it. Which would be what, exactly?

You absorbed the tendency of the age to assume a thing instea
Not at all. In fact, it's both not within my nature and contrary to my training as a lawyer. The law is a great environment for people who like to pull claims and thoughts into components and examine their truths or claims to truth.
