This may sound kind of cliché, I hope not. I was down at the coast out on one of the local piers, watching the waves and trying to guess which ones the surfers would pick, and along come a couple young people with their fishing poles and an old-school boombox, and the song they were listening to sounded so quintessentially west coast. I had to know what it was so I surreptitiously tapped the song-recognition app on my phone and looked up the group (never heard of them before) and they actually
are west coast, L.A. via Dana Point. :chuckle: Don't know how I managed that one. Anyway, I love the song, the words (which are usually a big thing with me) don't have any particular pull on this one, it's just the sound this time. This is what California sounds like to me.
